DALLAS -- A holiday shopping flier that's been distributed to thousands of households in north Texas is creating controversy because a message of hate is included within an advertisement.
An ad for "Party City" was supposed to highlight a sale on Hanukkah items, but it also contained a hateful anti-Semitic message.
The advertisement includes the sentence "CC Hates the Jews" in large, bold letters.
According to ADVO, the company that printed the advertisement, a graphic artist working on the ad had left his desk for a moment, and a co-worker with the initials C.C. changed the text on the ad.
The graphic artist didn't notice the change and the ad went to print.
However, despite the explanation, the Anti-Defamation League wants more questions answered.
"How did it get out of the graphic shop in Pittsburgh? How did it get by ADVO? How did it get by the printer and all of that?" Mark Briskman said.
ADVO representatives in Dallas said they are mortified by the oversight and that they are trying to figure out why the error was never caught.

How was OJ found NOT GUILTY? Because the DAs did a lousy job, because 99% of the workforce today is ignorant, illiterate, and doesn't possess a smidgeon of common sense? Oh, but they have degrees and LETTERS behind their little names, therefore, they can't do any wrong... Don't even ask how this could happen, THEY WERE INCOMPETENT all the way down the line, no mystery here, no racism here...

Someone who was INCOMPETENT could very well have been the reason.

Texas has a lawIt doesn't look like Texas law would apply. They were using foreign labor to make the ad: "How did it get out of the graphic shop in Pittsburgh". Pittsburgh is north of the Mason Dixon line.

Yesterday's reports had that "CC" was fired.
One would think that modern computer software would catch something like this, if nothing else to prevent accidentally offensive headlines.
My of my favorite newspaper stories had an extremely graphic description of a brutal murder on the front page. Under the victim's name on the obit page, people were informed that he "died after a long illness."

I doubt "CC hates the Jews" was an innocent typo Same here. However, the issue of whether or not the printshop etc. had competent people who would spot it or read this before printing, is.

The worst of it is that there are several zip codes around here where the residents are predominantly Jewish and that's probably where the ads were targeted. I'll ask my Jewish friends whether any of them got a copy. Shoot, if it weren't so cold and I wasn't so lazy, I'd go check my mailbox and see if I received a copy myself.
The recent rush of blatant anti-Semitism has me concerned. I thought that they were safe in America but now I'm not so sure.

Strange huh? Well you guys try not to let this get to you. You have a lot of Christian friends in Texas. Night.

Oh, but at least I'm not STUPID or INCOMPETENT, hiding behind the pretense of being "intellectual!" (Thank you for noticing :) )

the truth has some very funny ways of being 'shouted from the housetops,' sometimes.

Separate and apart from this issue, the Texas law is in violation of The First Amendment. It wouldn't be the first time that a Marxist like Martin Frost created a law in violation of the United States Constitution.

Pittsburgh is north of the Mason Dixon line. Pittsburgh is a nice, friendly city and is one of the few northern cities that feels like home to me. I figure that they can't help it if they're Yankees.

Not much to say on this, only that it demonstrates a trend. Even in humor, Jew hating has become popular. I just have to think that it's cumultive effect in Europe, the middle east, Canada and othere places eventually allows for a desensitizing of sorts.
The end result is of course violence. Having lived through it as a child, it seems to be gaining a life of its own again. Hope I am wrong.
