"I'LL SEE YOU IN COURT" -- The Litigious Shenanigans of CAIR & Its Outrageous Spokesman
ICONOCLAST ^ | By Denis Schulz

Posted on 12/13/2003 6:42:46 AM PST by Apolitical

US Representative Cass Ballenger (R-NC) is being sued for $2 million by CAIR (Council on American-Islamic Relations) for asserting that CAIR has been raising money for terrorist organizations. Paul Harvey, the legendary radio commentator, is being sued by CAIR for $2 million for defaming Islam. CAIR is not suing Dr. Laura Schlessinger, the noted radio counselor, but they are thinking about it, and if Dr. Laura doesn't apologize for that alleged vicious, anti-Muslim, radio talk-show tirade she leveled at the greatest religion that ever was, they will see her in court, too.

The man behind these threats is Ibrahim Hoopercrit. He is a reasonable man -- so he says -- but one should not take him at his word. He represents CAIR. He knows his rights; he knows CAIR's rights; he knows Islam's rights -- especially the right to sue the pants off anyone who should dare to say anything negative about Islam.

Mr. Hoopercrit could easily be mistaken for a jailhouse lawyer. How he acquired his vast dystopic knowledge of our legal system is anyone's guess. His understanding of court etiquette, the US Constitution, the writ of habeus corpus, and why Judge Roy Bean wore a six-shooter in the courthouse, is on a par with Cosmo Kramer's.

Does Ibrahim stay up all night watching reruns of LA Law? Does Greta Van Susteren frighten him? Does he meet secretly with O.J. Simpson? Has he studied the Nuremberg Laws?

The last is a distinct possibility. He seems to know more about Nuremberg than Coke. Has he read the Turner Diaries? Maybe someone told him he would make a great lawyer and it went to his head-some like the late Edward Said or Woody Harrelson, an intellectually diverse pair, certainly, but equal in their distrust and hatred of American.

This is what is known about Ibrahim Hoopercrit: he has read The Protocols of the Elders of Zion; his favorite newspaper is al Jeezera; he considers the sharia (Muslim Holy Law) vastly superior to the US Constitution. If he had his druthers he would replace the latter with the former....

"Fifth Column" is right. CAIR is not moderate peace-loving Islam.

Who exactly is "moderate peace-loving Islam?"

Where can we find these folks?

If Hooper and CAIR would expend as much energy rooting out the deteractors in their midst as they do suing Americans, they would appear more credible to me. But it seems that they are only concerned with themselves and not the OTHER Americans who killed by the followers of Allah..

Of course, CAIR is offended by those who seek to expose their nefarious agenda. They are trying to keep it quiet.

"Islam isn't in America to be equal to any other faith, but to become dominant"--Omar M. Ahmad {CAIR}

"Outside the US we say 'Oh, Allah, destroy America'. Inside, we change it"--Abdurahman Alamoudi, American Muslim Council (That's "American Museum Council" for you Hillary fans and contributors)

"The Quran should be the highest authority in America, and Islam the only religion"--Omar Ahmad {CAIR}

I hope these people counter-sue that fat b@st@rd.

While I have seen little evidence, historical or otherwise, that Islam itself is a religion of peace, it is clear that all Muslims are not terrorists, or even disloyal Americans.

Well .. if this works for Islam .. what the heck are Christians doing sitting on their blessed assurance ..?? There's only one organization I know of that's trying to do anything about it.

Apparently (and thankfully) Ibrahim Hooper and his lawyers seem to be
blissfully ignorant that:
1. Truth is an absolute defense to many of these sorts of charges of slander/libel
2. Counter-suits
3. Downside of having adverse publicity...because the more rational people know about
the core of Islam...the less they like it.

Bring it, Hooper!

Just my inexpert assessment since 9-11:
First, the good news: most Muslims are apostate. They are either illiterate and/or
ignorant of the actual, non-negotiable commands of the Koran, Hadith and other Islmic
scripture/doctrines.
Or they've decided to just live as peaceably and happily as possible and just
ignore the scriptures and the rantings of radical imams and fellow congregants.
Thus, thankfully most of the billion or so Muslims are decent folks.

The bad news...even if it's just one to 10 percent of Muslims who take the violent
commands of Islam seriously...that means we've got millions of Islamic terrorists
(or potential terrorists).

Of course, not all Muslims are terrorists, I don't think anyone's saying that.

But, I suspect that if you ask your "All-American" Muslim if they'd like to see Shariah (Muslim law) rule this land, that they'd say "Yes!"

You may be right - and that is the scariest part of all. Islamic law presides over some of the worst hell holes on planet earth. It would be a disaster to see Islam gain a substantial political foothold in this country.

Maybe the ACLU will defend US Representative Cass Ballenger, Paul Harvey and Dr. Schlessinger.

If they're Muslims, I'd be highly surprised if the answer was "no." People tend to want a government that matches their own morality... unless they're masochists.

Bottom line: CAIR seems to have taken a few pointers from a certain other "religion" that no one wants to talk about anymore. Anyone says "boo," sue 'em. Sooner or later, people shut up and leave you alone.
