I'm sorry to have to report that one of our own Freepers, TrappedInLiberalHell, has passed away. His profile is HERE
I met Chris this past summer and found him to be a brilliant young man, who unfortunately carried around a lot of painful psychological troubles. He wrote few posts here, but was an active and clever noter, and a very sweet young man.

I just found this thread and I am shocked. I don't know what to say other than...
Every Freeper here thought highly of this young man...as evidenced by his posts and replies. He will be missed badly. I am heartbroken at his passing.
Lord protect his immortal soul and take this young man into your care so he can know the power and awe of your tender mercies.
Godspeed Chris.

Wow! I hadn't seen that pic.

If his wife is indeed reading these posts, I would like her to know I am very, very sorry for her loss.
I can only hope she can take comfort in that her friends, her family and the good Lord above will help see her through this darkest of times.

Yea, I thought better of it after hitting "post", but it wasn't intended to be derisive(or amusing)in any way. Actually, my point was that he seemed wiser than his 30/31 years, and many of my peers are quite liberal.

I had a very good friend at work who spent many hours in my office. He had severe agoraphobia and depression. He was also one of the best graphics processing people I've ever met. I was sent to Florida for 3 weeks in 1993. The day I flew home he committed suicide (while I was airborne). We didn't find out until Monday morning. We all lost a very good friend. It was eerie to see all the computers in the office where he was still logged on from his final items of work on Friday.
He explained his position on Prozac one afternoon. He said it doesn't make you suicidal. You're already that way, but the depression leaves you unmotivated and without the necessary initiative to act on the feelings. Prozac eliminates that apathetic feeling toward taking actions... good or bad.

I was not sure if it was appropriate to post that - glad you did.

He is not the saddest of all - he will be missed.

I don't know who you are, but rest assured that he was a hugely appreciated member at FR. He will be missed by thousands. God bless you and God keep Chris.

I just got home from work. This is awful. I'm 30 also. Sobering. Did he committ suicide? I've struggled with suicidal thoughts in the past. There's NO way I'd even think about it now.

This thread has dredged up some bad memories for me. 12 years ago to this month in college we lost someone from our circle of friends. An incredibly talented man. And I see from the posts that Chris was too.
We had no indication there was a problem. I beat myself up over it for a long time for not noticing. But there was nothing to notice.
Prayers sent. We'll light a candle in Church on Sunday.
To: EggsAckley
Poor guy. I've been there, almost. Peace, at last. RIP Chris.

When we think of those
with whom we've traveled down life's path,
let us not say with sadness that they have left us,
but rather with gratitude that they were once with us.

Glad I got to read that, before they pulled it. I want to know his history...maybe make some sense of it.
