Hey, our greatest Black President, Clinton, was in office. No way he'd ever cover-up a tragedy just for his own political purposes. Why he ushered in the most honest administration in history. Not even a hint of scandel during his Presidency.

I guess the threat of Arkancide is diminishing with time and regime change.

This is a bit off topic, but when are we going to get a spell checker that recognizes words like Arkancide?

The WSJ reported -- only once with no repeats -- that a ocean vessel was seen on radar racing AWAY from the crash site immediately after the crash. This is when all other vessels in the area were racing TOWARD the crash site as potential rescuers.

The WSJ said FBI tried to identify that mystery boat but without success.

WSJ article hypothesized that the speedy vessel may have fired a missile at 800.

Just one observation: why is so much attention being focused on a CIA cartoon? Such videos frequently use exaggerated details to emphasize a point. The NTSB official report said TWA800 “pitched up while rolling to the left” in “crippled flight”. The flight “ascended from about 13,800 to 15,000 to 16,000 feet” (that’s about 1,200 to 2,200 feet). At over two miles up and more than ten miles from shore such rise would be barely visible. The NTSB scenario would be consistent with witness statements about a horizontal, or slightly rising streak of light prior to explosion and breakup. It would not be consistent with statements about a vertical streak, or any observation of a launch.

Remember Kalstrom(sp) the head FBI investigator of TWA 800 giving interviews to the media early on in the investigation. Initially he seemed to be of the opinion that a missile of some sort was involved in bringing the aircraft down. Then as time passed he seemed convinced, in fact adamant, that it was a fuel tank explosion that caused the crash. Kalstrom is now retired from the FBI.

The big question here is WHY would our government lie to us?? Kalstrum must go to bed every night thinking that most Americans consider him a dumb a$$ jerk.

Thanks for the post, John.

I am convinced that the TWA-800 explosion was caused by some external means -- an on-board bomb or a missle.

I have been an aviation buff since I was 4 years old, and have been flying since 1963. I am a retired Naval Aviator, hold an Airline Transport Pilot rating, and was a Navy trained Aviation Safety Officer, and in all my years of "messing around" with airplanes, I have never heard of any sort of "spontaneous combustion" occurring in a fuel cell, be it AVGAS or JETA! Simply does not happen!

I wish Captain Lahr well, and I hope that he is able to conclusively make his case. The American people deserve to know the truth about TWA-800.

Of course the CIA version is impossible. Just like the Warren Commission's account is impossible. The fedguv lies.

The answer as to "why a coverup" can be found in this article.

TWA Flight 800 – an FBI cover-up?

Essentially, the article about the book claims Clinton sat on it so as not to affect the election 3 months later.

I certainly hope Mr. Lahr will get to the truth. I live in the town that lost 14 of its high school youth, members of the French Club, who were shot out of the sky on their class trip to Paris.

No one in this town has ever accepted the Government's tall tale of how this tragedy came about.

On Monday, Dec. 15, Retired United Airline Capt. Ray Lahr takes his case against the National Transportation Safety Board to court, the last adversary this unlikely activist ever expected to face.

John, in your posting you said that Capt. Ray Lahr was going to court on December 15th. I remember seeing the following and wondered if the case were extended, or?

"Lahr next goes to court on April 5 in Los Angeles to advance his suit against the National Transportation Safety Board, the CIA and a reluctant Boeing.."

Anyone see the special on Public TV this evening? 4/6 - 10:00pm PST.

Had to do with crash sites and of course they explained in detail about the mechanical failure of the fuel tank on Flight 800. (All those wires!!)

Does it usually happen that the FBI moves on the scene in place of the National Transportation Safety Board?
