"Granted, eyewitnesses are not always reliable but when you have 270 that say they saw the same thing there may be an awful lot to it"

Clinton: "Those lying bastids." It was a case of Arkancide.

(Hint: who was on board flight 800 who also worked for Ron Brown?)

Huang? How many folks around Clinton died by plane? Just pondering.

What kind of twin engine aircraft, a corporate jet? And the air traffic control folks in New York and/or Boston would know nothing about a P3 running around tailing a primary target? Sorry bobo, no go. I am an air traffic controller and this is one of the whackier theories I've read.

That's what I was thinking, yet witnessess swear they saw something go up from the horizon.

I can't believe that I never thought about apparent height of climb to distance before regarding this. But I'm no math brainiac.

Doesn't this alone seemingly blow the government's case out of the water?

"No way you could shut up a boat load of sailors if a Navy ship had anything to do with the tragedy."

That's always been my thought on the Navy theory as well-- I don't know about officers, but most of the people on the boats are regular people like us and they COULDN'T be silenced.

Don't forget this was just days before the Olympics. Could have cancelled them, leaving the US in fear and disgrace in an election year no less.

Since no foreign terrorist group took responsibility, which they are always eager to do, I think it was home-grown terrorists or military accident. As to why the cover up, I don't have a clue.

Hey, our greatest Black President, Clinton, was in office. No way he'd ever cover-up a tragedy just for his own political purposes. Why he ushered in the most honest administration in history. Not even a hint of scandel during his Presidency.

Wouldn't it be interesting to use all of the data regarding suicides, murders, accidental deaths, plane crashes etc. that have surrounded the Clintons, and find the percentages and odds of these incidents being caused deliberately. I think the results would be astounding.

I guess the threat of Arkancide is diminishing with time and regime change.

This is a bit off topic, but when are we going to get a spell checker that recognizes words like Arkancide?

The WSJ reported -- only once with no repeats -- that a ocean vessel was seen on radar racing AWAY from the crash site immediately after the crash. This is when all other vessels in the area were racing TOWARD the crash site as potential rescuers.

The WSJ said FBI tried to identify that mystery boat but without success.

WSJ article hypothesized that the speedy vessel may have fired a missile at 800.

"As an ex-pilot I never believed the pitch-up story...I KNOW how preposterous the idea of an explosion in an enclosed JET-A fuel tank is."

Good points. Done a little flying myself so don't understand how this exploding empty fuel tank theory got traction. Is it reasonable to suggest that a commercial airliner would depart for an extended over-water flight with its main fuel tank empty, just like the TWA800 crew supposedly did before heading out across the Atlantic ocean in an aircraft full of passengers and cargo?

I've always thought it was a terrorist missle that brought the plane down. But what bothers me is where is GWB on this? If he knew this was a terror act, wouldn't he want to use it to support the war on terror? Bush has never gone after Clinton the way I thought he should, but if it were terror, I hope he wouldn't keep the lid on this to protect the bent one's legacy. I have a hard time reaching any other conclusion than Bush doesn't know what happened or that the Navy shot down TWA800.

The prevailing attitude was nothing to see here, keep flying.

That will be the prevailing attitude until express notice otherwise. "Nothing to see here, move along."

I think the government in general has to much invested for the TRUTH to be released. The CIA, FBI, and NTSB have really leveraged themselves with this lie. If this lawsuit starts to make headway, those who hold the truth about TWA 800 might find themselves "Arkancided."

"So, voila, a theory that a plane climbed 4000 feet after exploding from a center fuel tank..."

I'm not into conspiracy theories, usually the simplest answer is the right answer.

I don't believe it was terrorism; someone would have taken credit. To this day I have heard of no one claiming responsibility.

However, I find it hard to believe that a plane can climb straight up 4000' after being split in half. I would assume the engines would have failed at that point. In addition, wouldn't the gapping hole caused a lot of drag forcing the plane down?

I don't believe the CIA's theory; something just doesn't sit right with their explanation.

Do you think "they" would bring down an entier liner for one person?

good question!

you might ask ron brown to answer that for you.
