That's what I was thinking, yet witnessess swear they saw something go up from the horizon.

I can't believe that I never thought about apparent height of climb to distance before regarding this. But I'm no math brainiac.

Doesn't this alone seemingly blow the government's case out of the water?

it doesn't make sense either, the gov't report. like the Vince Foster suicide this won't go anywhere because of who's running for president in '08/

Not necessarily. The reports of something flying UP/TOWARD the plane are the ones hard to discredit (pieces of an airplane do not defy gravity and fall upward. Like I said, @ 10 miles, a 4000' difference is less than 7° But remember, the plane was at an altitude of 13,800' at the time, and the difference from sea level to that altitude @ 10M is just over 26°. An object covering that climb would certainly be noticable.
