Some libs aren't flakes. Some conservatives are flakes. Examples? Hill is no flake, she is worse. Pat Caddell is no flake. I can't think of conservative well known flakes. But we have some homegrown Freeper flakes if you ask me. Just my opinion.

She doesn't frighten me. In addition to all her other negatives she is not aging very gracefully. In another three or four years time she will be mistaken for Helen Thomas on a good day. You just wait and see.

"I can't think of conservative well known flakes."
Newt Gingrich.
Bill Kristol.
Jack Kemp.
Lucianne Goldberg and her son.
Bob Novak.
Bill Safire.
Give me time and I'll think of some more.

Some list but I disagree on Safire and Goldberg. Maybe we need a definition of "flake".

Do not underestimate Howard Dean. Several Dems running for the nomination would have told you last Spring that Dean had no chance whatsoever. Dean is dangerous. He has fanatical supporters. Bush is not all that popular. His support is soft. Dean is no McGovern. Far too many people, including talk show hosts like Laura Ingraham think it will be a cake walk for Bush. I don't think so.

You're giving me four out of six? That's better than I hoped for.
Can I substitute George Will for Goldberg or Safire?

Never underestimate the stupidity of the American voter nor the ability of the Dems to steal an election.

In 1998, on election night, Dick Morris was still predicting a 30 to 50 seat GOP pickup in the House.
I take everything Morris says with a HUGE grain of salt.

I predicted Hillary wouldn't win her Senate seat, just based on my observation that she was sounding just as dull as dishwater. I don't know what happened there. The Guiliani thing?
To: CdMGuy
Dean's the ultimate chameleon candidate. He's the politician from the Altman film Nashville. It will be interesting but Bush will win. You are going to see some flash from the RNC this time!
To: My Favorite Headache
He seemed very confident in his opinion. He always does. Problem is, he has a terrible track record.

Thanks for the ping!

No, Morris is no rat. He is as cold-blooded a political mercenary as there ever was. If he has any opinions or convictions on political or cultural issues, I do not know what they are.
To: My Favorite Headache
And former 'rat mayor of New York Ed Koch said tonight on Scarborough that he intended to vote for Bush because it is obvious to him that the 'rats do not "have the stomach" needed to defend us from worldwide terrorism - "we're at war abroad and at home", he said........

I'm not concerned about Dean; he'll probably shoot himself in the foot. It's the people behind the scenes we should be watching out for. Who knows what the Clintons have up their sleeve. Like it or not, they still control the Democratic party, and they aren't going to relinquish power that easily.
I wouldn't be surprised to see a "dump Dean" campaign from within the party if Hillary detects any vulnerability from the Bush camp. We must remain vigilant.

He's more Keynes than Hayek. I take DickMo as philosophically a Democrat who makes his hay where he can - Clinton-haters.
