And the rule of the political class too. We're long overdue for another revolution in this country. There's nothing left to conserve.

Don't worry... China can now have more speech than we can./..

Xinhua Finance to buy U.S.-based Market News ( 2003-12-10 09:11) (Agencies) Xinhua Financial Network Ltd., a news agency part-owned by the Chinese government, said on Tuesday it will buy U.S. financial news service Market News International Inc., giving it a firm foothold on Wall Street. The deal is the first acquisition of a sizable Western news service by a Chinese company and comes as Chinese Premier Wen Jiabao was in Washington to meet President Bush. New York-based Market News is a niche news service with 5,000 subscribers, among them traders and investors, willing to pay for the company's chatty, inside view of Wall Street.

The official government of China news agency now is buying US media... wonderful! Just as long as the NRA can't/

I agree with you 100% This nation is quickly devolving. Pres. Bush should never have signed this law.

Sink, I've used this metaphor countless times here, but it is so apt:

An elephant takes a crap on the forum. The dung beetles fly in from miles around to franticly roll the crap balls around and around and around. Man, those dung beetles are happy insects! Rollin' and rollin' and rollin' ... just happy to be rollin'.

I'm going to TRY to do it by reelecting Bush and getting the 60 votes we need in the Senate

Makes sense to the insane only. Reelect the people who passed it. Amazing incompetence.

What are you going to do, just bitch and moan?

No, I'm going to keep doing what I have been doing, telling the truth about these slobs so the country can get back on track instead of sliding into another civil war.

If you care to read what I said you will see that it involved spending money on ADS and running publicly for office. The founders did neither preferring to remain in the background and indirectly manipulate things. It was not honorable to pursue these offices openly. Examine Jefferson's campaigns for an illustration of how it was done by a master manipulator.

This law would not affect any politicians of the Founders' generation in the slightest nor will it affect any today who are clever enough to be able to stack two quarters on top of each other.

The Alien and Sedition Acts were never found to be un-constitutional and as far as Matt "Spittin'" Lyons goes he could have been jailed for the rest of his life and the nation would never have missed him. As it was the clown ran for re-election from jail and the idiot RAT voters of Vermont re-elected him. Today he would be a big supporter of Howard Dean.

It is also important to note that the A&S acts provided far more protection for the accused than the State laws governing the same behavior. These were used by Jefferson's followers to destroy anti-RAT editors and truth was no defense under them as it was under the federal acts.

I can barely stand to watch tv during the election season because of them. Most of the fraudulent lies are from RATS so this might help.

That's exactly what I was thinking... Left to stand on their own, the Dems positions on nearly every major issue falls flat... Without the massive bombardment of propoganda just before the elections, not to mention the dirt and "gotcha" effect a day or couple of days before the election, this may actually really benefit the GOP greatly. Remember, the Dems rely much more heavily on soft money than the GOP as well, so another plus.

Actually, the insane thing to do is to help Dean appoint two more SCOTUS Justices. Clinton's two appointees voted for this abomination.

I pose the question right here and now: Does George W. Bush deserve re-election?

YES, ABSOLUTELY!

we'll just agree to avoid each other.

You must be softer than I thought if you think I'll ever avoid confrontations with people like you.

A very bad day for our country and the principles on which it was founded. I blame the Republicans in Congress, especially McCain. I blame President Bush, who should have vetoed this. He knew it was wrong. But most of all, I blame Karl Rove, who I'm sure convince the President this would be overturned. This is the one time I wish Bush would have told Rove to stick it. Now, we have a law in place that will serve as a catalyst to restrict other types of speech. This will have a domino effect like you won't believe- and talk radio will be the next target of the Democrats- all because of this farce of a law.

A very, VERY sad day for this country.

You rock.

Of course, you know this is going on your permanent record?

At a certain point, the whole counterintuitive "strategery" alibi just won't cover every mistake. Thanks for having the integrity to say so, and for maintaining your scruples while supporting this President as tirelessly as you have.
