Arabic Editorial: "USA Will Convert Poles of Jihadist Flags Into Arrows to Pierce Terrorists Hearts"

(Translated into English from Original Arabic, by "MEMRI")

Text: Editor of Kuwaiti Daily: 'The U.S. Is Not Going to Quit... It Will Convert Poles of Jihadi Flags Into Arrows to Pierce the Hearts of Terrorists'

On November 23, 2003, Ahmad Al-Jarallah, the Editor-in-Chief of the Kuwaiti dailies Al-Siyassa and Arab Times, praised the U.S. fight against Jihad fighters The following are excerpts from the article: [1]

"Any resistance that depends on suicide bombers to destroy its target is a desperate and futile movement. Such a resistance hasn't succeeded in evicting Jews from Palestine or ending the misery of Palestinians. It has also failed to curtail the political authority of Jews over Palestinians. Those who still employ this method - covered by slogans of Jihad and promises of a place in heaven for the suicide bomber - wrongly believe it is an effective method.

"They are living in the past and they can see only the history of the United States. They think America is the same country that withdrew from regions where it incurred heavy casualties, such as Vietnam, Beirut in 1982, and Somalia. They refuse to see the recent history of the US in Yugoslavia, Kosovo, Afghanistan, and in the war to liberate Kuwait. Americans weren't fazed by suicide bombings. Trucks laden with deadly bombs and driven by suicide bombers failed to scare them. Instead, such attempts have steeled their resolve to accomplish their mission in Afghanistan, Iraq, and other places.

"Regrettably, some myopic Arab leaders can see only the negative side of the U.S. army's history. All their speeches are stale and full of lies and their people are sick and tired of their meaningless slogans. These leaders delude themselves trying to lead their people towards mass suicide. They are not aware history is changing and they don't realize any self-respecting military will learn from its past mistakes. The U.S. has chosen to take terrorism head on by launching a war on terror. Nobody, except these handful of Arab leaders, are surprised by America's resolve to fight terrorism.

"Saudi Arabia - which was earlier ambivalent towards terrorism - has been forced to join the war on terror. The tone of Saudi media has changed and they want to eliminate the dangers of international terrorism. They now proclaim terrorists violate the teachings of Islam. Kuwait and Egypt have also been fighting terrorism for a long time. The latest victim of terrorism is Turkey where a number of innocent civilians were killed… "This will only result in an international war on terrorism which will have legitimate reasons to continue till the fountainheads of terrorism are smashed. Those who lead revenge operations - for their defeats in Kabul and Baghdad - in the name of resistance are unwittingly strengthening the resolve of the United States to face and defeat terrorism. The United States is not going to quit. Instead, it will convert poles of Jihadi flags into arrows to pierce the hearts of terrorists - who ultimately will be consigned to the dustbin of history."

(End of Translation)

CNN, WashPost, NYT, CBS, etc. and the usual traitors won't touch this with a ten foot-long hookah.

Instead they will continue to put "journalism" in front of "patriotism", which is actually no more than being erosive and giving aid/comfort to the Enemies, at the the expense of the security of the American people and our allies, and the US/international media riding their narrow and sick agenda which somehow seeks to demonstrate and prove their own sacrosanct 'objectivity'.

So what does this mean when an "Arabic" news outlet is more honest, patriotic and supportive than our domestic dribble?

I dunno, it might be a waste of bandwith, but I think right away today I'll spam some of those seditious democrat presidential campaign websites, or blogsites, or maybe a Ivy League student newspaper or two, with this article, just to p--- 'em off.

Maybe that retard professor at Columbia Univ. in New York City who earlier this year publicly called for "a thousand Mogadishus" and caught hell from Americans as a result. That guy has probably crawled up from his hole by now, if he is indeed off his meds and has dismissed his bodyguards. This (Arabic article) would really grind his traitorous gears, but good, IMHO. ;-)

Well, maybe they will have to, now that you have brought the article to FR. We'll spread it far and wide!

We've had a good day here - now have a Republican Governor in Kentucky and a chance to spread THIS uplifting piece.

remember, a traditional "arrow" cannot be easily dislodged from a human, from an orifice or otherwise elsewhere!

Recall an incident in Iraq a few months ago in which a black Islamic flag was tied to a communications tower. A helo blew it down and nearly caused a riot. The general in charge apologized for touching the holy flag and promised an investigation.

The black flag is the same 'jihadist flag' referenced here.

"It Will Convert Poles of Jihadi Flags Into Arrows to Pierce the Hearts of Terrorists"

The black flag signifies the start of jihad which isn't finished until everyone is converted to Islam or killed at which point a white flag will be tied up.

The general didn't understand the jihadist nature of the religious flag that he was apologizing for taking down.

Who knew? A shred of humanity in heart of the jackal?

WHAT humanity? He's just saying they shouldn't do it because it doesn't work. If it DID work, he'd probably be out there cheering them on

Sounds like a good plan to me. Break the poles off at the top to pierce their hearts and keep the stems for a nice heads on pikes type display.

My screen name wasn't chosen lightly. I dropped a handle I'd been with for 3 years on this forum in favor of my current one and I'll keep this one for the rest of my days here.

This guy has it exactly right. America's Resolve won't weaken until one of two things happen: All terrorism ceases or a Dem is elected again.

Grrrrrrrr

Godspeed and GOD BLESS AMERICA!

A paper from the press controlled Kuwait (which is a USA Satrap) issues a condemnation of Suicide bombings and praises the US forces in Iraq for staying power and this is somehow "proof" that we are doing well in the Middle East? Meanwhile we shut down papers in Iraq and jam radio broadcasts into Iraq like we are the Soviets in Afghanistan during the 80's or the Germans in occupied Europe. Yep- but let's point to puppet articles in puppet newspapers controlled by compliant payed for elites that wouldn't last a day without our support in Kuwait as "proof" that we are winning the "hearts and minds" in the ME and Iraq! Fool yourselves all you want. We aint'.

A possible subtext here. These thoughts are not original to me, but I can't remember where I read them. It was a recent article, though.

Most humans don't want to kill themselves. It's not in our nature. People can be talked into it, but most people are looking for a way out.

In a shame-based culture like the Arabs, the only way out is to argue that a suicide attack is not going to achieve anything and would quite likely hurt the cause. Thus the way out is to say "We did the best we could, and we fought with honor, but we were clobbered. Let's go home."

Liberals misunderstand Arab culture. They think Arabs fight because they feel oppressed. They fail to realize that Arabs fight because they think it's dishonorable to NOT fight when the possibility of victory exists.

Japanese fought even when they knew defeat was the only outcome. And the "Kamikaze" fought for honor- not for a paradise as they didn't believe in an afterlife (either Shinto or Buddahist believer.)

Japan is a big shame bashed culture. We used to be as well. Though not one did resign over 9/11 did they!? Islam is not shame based as Japan is- but pride based. They don't sacrifice themselves over "shame" but over male pride. Thus they drink and sin before there suicide attacks while Japanese would purify themselves and would look down upon killing civilians. They at least would want to go down killing military opponenets!
