>>>>>>>>>So: well played Al. We’ll see you again.

I'd almost laugh if Gore's real reason for endorsing Dean was because of his deep and abiding respect for The Mayor of Vermont. That's ironic enough to be downright funny, but probably not the case.

Interesting observation about the way AlGore and Hillary! are both trying to reinvent themselves the way Nixon did after he lost an election. I pray that neither of them will be successful at it, but Frum is right - we should be keeping an eye on those two for '08.

What a sorry couple of losers. I would have really enjoyed being a "fly on the wall" listening to these two geniuses doing their "cipherin'", as they say down in AlGore's neck of the woods (or, really, in his city, he's not from the woods at all). Dean is a draft-dodging twit midget whose "rage" is made-for-TV. He is entirely unfit to be dogcatcher, let alone President of the US. Gore - well, let's just say, he is AlGore. Need I say more?

Actually, this is a brilliant move by Gore. 1) He adds support to a candidate who will get blown-out in 2004, clearing the way for Al's latest "re-invention" of himself in 2008 (as Frum suggests), and 2) by helping Dean get the nomination, he will break the Clinton death-grip on the DNC.

The premise of the above article may well be true. However, one extremely important reason for Gore endorsing Dean is to break, once and for all, with the Clintons.

Here hold my White Honky Beer, while I pick up that ‘African-Americans for Dean’ sign.

"That will be especially true when the Democrats wake up to the fact that Dean runs badly with working-class whites and African-Americans. (James Taranto yesterday cited this wonderful line from the Chicago Tribune: “The pre-printed signs ‘African-Americans for Dean’ were held by white supporters.”
