Howard Dean's ignored insult

One of the Nine Dwarves running for President, Vermont Governor Howard Dean, in introducing former VP Al Gore at this morning's endorsement rally in New York, had the nerve and audacity to claim that the young girls that were killed 40 years ago in the bombing of a Birmingham, Alabama church "gave their lives" for the cause of civil rights.
What a load of used food! Those little girls did not "give" their lives! They went to church to worship the Lord. They became symbols for the cause, certainly.
But to say that they "gave" their lives, as if to say that they willingly went to their deaths, is insulting at best, and pandering to the primarily black audience that Dean seeks to court at it's very worst.
Watch - none of the mainstream media will catch this insult; they are complicant in the pandering all by themselves.

Extra warning: this is a high-volume ping list.

It is pandering. But most of the pandered to will not pick up on that.
This is right up there with His Slickness talking about church burnings in Arkansas in his boyhood (when there were none).

I'm kind of wondering if the "media" will bring it up to bring Dean down a notch. It is my understanding that the "media" does not want Dean to get the nomination. What do you think?

Can someone inform this man to apologize?

Gore wasn't too far off the theme either when he said that the last time he was there "we played basketball." It's ok though. They're democrats. No offense taken.

I`d like to know who writes this stuff for Dean. Is it a pro speech writer or Dean himself? Because if it ain`t him, he better start looking, and damn fast, for a new one because the one he`s using has the common sense of a jackass. "I want people who have confederate flags in their pick up trucks to vote fer me!" yeee haw! Holy crap!

Reminds me of the time Rush said they should give a posthumous award to Mary Jo Kopechne for her selfless sacrifice in the cause of ensuring that Ted Kennedy would never be president...

Dean can't open his mouth without insulting somebody. You think this plays well in the long run? IMO, most people are going to be tired of his act by November.

What I can't believe is that the "Progressives" are living in a time warp.
It's Kennedy.
It's "I have a Dream".
It's Birmingham bombing.
It's Vietnam.
They are throwbacks to an earlier, and darker era. It's morning in America again, but they wish it weren't.

One of the Nine Dwarves running for President, Vermont Governor Howard Dean... Very well said... one of the nine Dwarfs. LOL! Re-Introducing Al Gore (which Flavor today?). Gore gave Dean the poisoned Apple (probably a leftover from Hillary), his endorsement.
I don't think there is a Prince Charming for Dean, to wake him from the poisoned apples sleep (Clinton Sleeze).
Dream on Dean... Dream on...

Sounds like Dean is on your "most favored" list. ;>
If he talked the way he talks and was a Conservative, everyone would shout "angry white man". The entire Demo field oozes with hate.
You have to love this Gore quote:
"In a field of great candidates, one candidate clearly now stands out ..."
They are sinking fast.

D. Deanmento first insulted white Southerners, now he's pandering to black Southerners.
If I didn't know better, I'd say he's playing the race card. (/sarcasm off)
Keep after him, Michael.
