Great post! Thanks!
My son is 4 also and we're having a blast too! We made gingerbread men and also turtles last night. We've done the angel tree thing (led to a temper tantrum of undescribable dimensions - but eventually taught a lesson.) and also the food bank thing at church.

I have long discontinued use of PayPal due to problems with them - Is there any other way to purchase this cookbook and have it shipped in time for Christmas?

As a mother who has gone through trying to get babies to eat table food, I swear by the use of a baby food grinder! I don't know what I would have done without it! :)

We quit doing the Angel Tree thing. It became a racket. Most of the kids in it know a kid who had a cousin who got a Gameboy. So they started swinging for the fences. I knew some kids who were "Angels" and it was basically a supplement to their other gifts because the government got involved. The government sold it as "free stuff" to anyone on any form of public assistance instead of qualifying the kids. The truly needy kids get short-changed. Now we support International missions like Operation Christmas Child.

I need a good butter or sugar cookie recipe. One that is good for using a cookie cutter for Christmas cookies to decorate.

Pay Pal is better than it used to be. That said, FReepmail Carlo and he will give you an address to mail a check and if you send him your address, he'll send out a copy in time for Christmas.

Well, it's not really a SA angel tree -- we found the same was true. This was something we did at church...it's just easier to say 'angel tree' ;-)

Yes, Carlo, there is a Santa Claus. When one of mine was in the second week of 2nd grade, he lost both front teeth in a game of tug of war (don't ask). Blood was dripping everywhere when he came in crying because the Tooth Fairy wouldn't come because the teeth were lost. No sign of new teeth ever popped in. Finally, on Christmas Eve he sat on Santa's lap to ask for teeth and lo and behold, Christmas morning both teeth miraculously were half way in. We believe!

I was so frightened that I almost did pee, there was a shadowy figure on that pole looking back at me Since this took place in Chicago, is this now referred to as The North Pole?

Cut out with a cookie cutter. Keep the piece you aren't using in the fridge.
