Now that is interesting, to think that Gore might put himself in a position to be drafted instead of Hillary. This should be a fun election year.

I keep hearing this, but I wonder if it is true. Are Bill and Hillary really backing Clark? I am confused, as I think the Clinton' s only back themselves, especially Hillary.

>>A Gore-Dean ticket may sound crazy now, but it could be a real possibility by next summer. <<
Someone shoot me---I know I can't take this!!!
I knew it----It's going to be Dean-Gore.
I'd say I'm moving to Canada, but I hate them even more.
AARGH!!

Oh, this is going to be very interesting. A war between Gore/Dean and the Clintons. They're going to be fighting for the soul (what's left of it) of the democrat party.

Somebody should slap Bill & Chillery.

I think the author is wrong, the jockeying by Gore and Hillary is not for 2004 at all. It is and always has been all about 2008. I can only hope and pray that the Republicans come up with the best possible candidate then to stop them.

Gore is expected to endorse Dean in Harlem, of all places, the adopted home of Hillary and Bill, where the former president's office is situated.
From what I understand, the Deaniacs are overwhelmingly Caucasian... I wonder if the Harlem location could backfire on them?
Thanks for the great column!

Gore/Dean??? Why would Dean come so close and let Gore swipe it from him?
I can just picture Dean's wild-eyed maenads reacting to that proposal. There'd be a fullblown riot.

I wonder if Dean will be there talking about how he wants folks with confederate flags in their pick-up truck windows to vote for him. These dems just keep getting more hilarious every day!

The DNC machinations of 2004 are going to be a bigger bloodbath than a thousand frogs in a super sized blender.

Dean still doesn't stand a chance. The Dems are still counting on voter fraud, stupidity, and apathy to win.
Unfortunately for them, Ralph Nader is back in ( unless Hillary runs ) for 2004 and they haven't treated the Greens very well after the 2000 election. You should see the way the Dems treat Greens on their boards, almost worse than they would respond to one of us. They feel the Naderites owe the Dems their vote, and are offended when they don't. If Nader stays in, I predict a bigger Perot factor in 2004 than the last one.
