Laura Bush has been wearing a lot of red this Christmas season and it is very becoming on her. She looks very beautiful.
Yes, When did Laura have a facelift, or is it botox? This might be why she wasn't in the media for awhile.
I thought Mrs. Bush looked beautiful last night, but I hate to say that I, too, wondered if she had some botox work. I DON'T CONSIDER BOTOX USE TO BE AN INSULT against the First Lady. Maybe it was the lighting or the beautiful red jacket she was wearing, but she looked 10 years younger and more beautiful than I've ever seen her.

You are mistaken about the Botox;
I have seen Laura look just that
good at other times, and I have
seen her look less perfect at
various times. It's the angle,
the lighting, the makeup, smile,
weight loss etc. etc. that make
the difference.

Gracey,
Bella was being very harshly treated and it did not seem to me to be warranted, based on what she(or he) said.
Clearly, Bella is a great admirer of Laura's. To be able to immediately post so many locations of pictures of Laura, she must be very fond of her.
My comments were really more directed at the others, trying to give a neutral ground to the discussion, in the hopes that everyone could just move on.
Passive redirect.
I don't think there is anything at all wrong with plastic surgery. I would do it in a heartbeat if I could. My daughter and I have discussed the possibility that she had surgery also. We aren't sure either.
If she did have surgery, it was done perfectly in my opinion. Enhanced her beauty, but still leaving people to wonder, "did she or didn't she".
Anyway, while I may still feel that it doesn't seem to be her "thing" to have surgery, I do realize that being in the unimaginable position of having a camera in your face every minute of the day, knowing that each of those pictures could be anywhere in the world in mere minutes must be really hard.
Maybe she did, maybe she didn't. Doesn't really matter to me. I just wish I could be as gorgeous, and have a man to look at me the way hers looks at her! She's a very lucky woman!
I see you live in Texas. Hi neighbor. I live northwest of Houston. I was born here, I guess I'll always be here.

got my card, mailed from Crawford, TX on 11/28. I have put it with the three previous How did you get three previous plus this one. I only got two previous plus my last from Crawford same date as 11/28.
The RNC sent me only a picture of President Bush on the aircraft carrier, I believe. Guess my donation was not enough. he he
Bush campaign sent a picture of Laura & George at their Crawford ranch as a thank you for sending money early on.
Also, got a Bush calendar but it's from a group called Citizens United - Supporting the Bush Agenda. Has a picture of President Bush on the aircraft carrier on the front cover plus 12 more pics each month. I don't know what I did to get this one. Anyone else receive this one?

Do you ACTUALLY think she would be shallow enough for a facelift? I take it you don't wear makeup, don't dress nicely and enjoy having others look at your baggy eyes? Geez, you all act like it's a sin to get nips and tucks. Well, many people do... I know few women over the age of 60 that haven't had something done, at least the eye jobs.
It's obvious Laura's had nips and tucks done to her face for no woman looks so smooth at 55+ years.
Good for her for doing it. We all should do what's necessary to improve our appearance.
Even the dowdy looking Hillary (previously looking mannish appearance) has been "rejuvenated" to look like an attractive woman. Ugh.... (but her heart is still so ugly and evil) LOL

Jim Cramer, the resident DemocRAT of Kudlow and Cramer said on CNBC tonight that he was really pi$$ed about Gore's endorsement of Dean.. Thanks for sharing this tidbit. Actually, I kind of like the loud Cramer. He's usually upfront with his thoughts --- seems to be a Zell Miller type Democrat - and a good Capitalist/Free Market type of guy.

I see you live in Texas. Hi neighbor Howdy fellow FReeper and Texan. NW Houston??? I'm from SE Houston... clear lake area. Houstonians are the friendliest people in any major USA city.
I agree that we all LOVE Laura whether she did or didn't. However, I'd encourage any woman with bags and sacks to do something if she's comfortable doing it. IMO, John Kerry needs an eye job badly and if I had his money I would have done something long, long ago... Instead he has a LONG ugly drooping face like a certain dog ... with an attitude to match it. lol
Have a good day, flower. Hugs.

How did you get three previous plus this one. The first was Christmas 2000 - just after he was elected. The picture on it was the front staircase of the Governor's Mansion and inside was a picture of George W., Laura and the twins.
It was signed Governor and Mrs. George W. Bush, even though he was President-elect at Christmas.
The other three are from the White House - 2001, 2002 and 2003. I assume that I'm on their list because of contributions to Bush-Cheney.
To: Ann Archy
You're not serious about this SHALLOW business? When I need it, I perfectly expect to get cosmetic surgery. There is nothing shallow about wanting to look the very best you can.

Have to disagree. Although I'd consider getting work done to myself, I don't think that laura has had any done. She looked very good last night on LK, and has looked that way for a while. However, in other pictures with different lighting and different angles, she does look older than she did last night. It's a matter of lighting and camera angles, IMO.
To: jackbill
Thanks for clarifying. I forgot that one... as pres elect. LOL. I have it also. Stay cool.......

You could be right..... guess only she knows for sure :-)
No matter..... she's one of the finest ladies walking on earth, IMO. She is kind, considerate, articulate, and just an all around DECENT, human being, in her heart. Bless her and her husband. We LOVE them both.

By the quality of your replies to everyone, I can see that you are obsessed with making it seem that Laura has had cosmetic surgery. Isn't it great that you can make that insinuation?

Sorry if I stepped on some toes.
I've had to have a lot of operations, and I can't imagine CHOOSING to have one...it's foreign to me.
To: Ann Archy
Dear Ann,
You're a fine lady also for your words. Sometimes we all get a little too harsh with each other. I apologize also, if I was one of those.
We Republicans MUST stick together as the enemy is not us but it IS the Democrat/Leftist/Socialists.
Bless you too, Ann. I hope your surgeries haven't been of the serious nature. Hugs

I think you're hung over and need to get lost...You're the one who's obsessed..I indeed stated my opinion, and have since then received many messages as I've stated before..so your rants aren't going to change anyone's mind!

You're the one who is ranting. I stated my opinion, too. It sounds as if you are the one trying to change peoples' minds. You are the one who has gone to all the trouble to look up photos of Laura Bush, for comparison. Give it a rest.

Actually they have all been pretty icky operations. Thanks.

"The 2002 presidential holiday card features a painting by artist Zhen-Huan Lu."Yeah, it's a cute water-color painting of the Christmas tree in the Blue Room, but it looks as if the painting could have been done by a young child though.
