Yikes. That's one jury I think I'd have to beg off of. I've read other articles about this story, but the description of the video is just.... damn. What a pair of freaks, both the cannibaliser and cannabalisee.

Gives a whole new level of unwanted meaning to the time-worn schoolyard taunt: "Oh, yeah? Well...eat me!" :)

It wasnt murder; it was a mercy killing, an increasingly flustered Herr Meiwes told the court before the showing of the film. I didnt want to kill anybody or cause pain. Oh, he's flustered? Good almighty God. This is insane, and I hope everyone who had to watch that video receives counseling.

Wondered if the video would confirm what this monster told the authorities. Guess it does. This is not human. This is just pure evil.

Just take him outside and shoot him.
Oops. I forgot, he's in Europe. No capital punishment allowed. Oh well, I hope he doesn't do it again when they release him in a couple of years.

Good thing the guy he ate wasn't Chinese.

Makes you wonder when you are out in public, how close are you to sick people like this?

An expert on cannibalism, the writer Jacques Buval, is sure that the single-victim defence is untenable. Cannibalism is a serial crime, he told The Times, If they let him free, hell do it again. That's just not true. I ate seven people in the 1980s, and I've hardly had even an arm or a leg since then.

The cannibalism is completely beside the point. It's the murder that gets me. Almost sounds as if the victim were perfectly willing.

no need to carry on eating people; one was enough. Well, then. I guess it's OK.

I wonder what they'd give me for going over there and plugging this So and So for them. Most likely 5 to 10 instead of an award. I'd do this creep and never think anything of it. Blow him straight to heaven and let him float back down to hell.

Don't I recall hearing that there were some hungry lions and tigers at the Baghdad zoo? Seems like two problems could be solved at once here.

Herr Brandes urges Herr Meiwes to slice off the organ. The knife is too blunt. The camera is switched off until Herr Meiwes returns with a sharper instrument; the victim seems to be saying: Get rid of it. Feminist influence must be heavy in Germany.
