What's really happening in Iraq? [Code Pink using military families to undermine country]
Code Pink ^ | on or before December 8, 2003 | hate-America leftist

Military Families Delegation to Iraq participants will be in Washington, DC Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday to share stories of their personal experiences in Iraq.

On November 29th, ten family members of US military personnel who had served or are serving in Iraq left the United States to travel to Iraq. Their purpose was to see first hand how the war in Iraq was being conducted and to bring a message of peace to the people of Iraq. Included in this group was Fernando Suarez del Solar who lost his 20-year-old son died on March 27, 2003 when he stepped on an unexploded U.S. cluster bomb south of Baghdad; two wives of soldiers based at Fort Bragg, N.C., and four veterans of the Vietnam and Gulf wars, including two who have children deployed in Iraq. These brave individuals will share with us what they observed while in Iraq.

Below is the list of events. Hope to see you there!

9:30am – Briefing on Hill, sponsored by Reps. Waters and Filner’s offices. Room 2251 of the Rayburn Office Building. Take the Orange/Blue Metro lines to Federal Center, walk two blocks north on 3rd St. to the Rayburn Building.

[Description of this Tuesday night meeting from another Code Pink communication: Members of Military Families Speak Out, CODEPINK's Gael Murphy and Medea Benjamin, and other participants in the recent delegation to Iraq will present video footage and photos of their recent trip to Iraq, and discuss the state of human rights, the US military, and women in occupied Iraq.]

The traitors and their dupes are in action here in DC next two days.

I wonder how many of the purported relatives are really relatives of troops.

It's unclear what they have in store for NYC, but it's a safe bet that they won't be rallying to support the U.S. struggle against terrorists and the tyrants who support them.

Here is a picture of a "press availability" from their website:

And yet somehow they expect us to take them seriously.

INTREP - This is amazing - civilians allowed to travel to a combat zone, to gauge the course of the war and deliver a message of peace to the Iraqis? Can you spell "lend aid and comfort to the enemy?" If my parents or spouse showed up, I would be mortified.

"If my parents or spouse showed up, I would be mortified."

Well, this is how we sort the men/women from the boys/little girls! When their mommies show up to protect them, or their surrogate mommies (wives), you know they are a liability anyway. My son's half-sister was over there in Kuwait when it began, and all she did was whine and put down our President. Because of it, we didn't show any support to her, and all the pictures and letters my grandchildren drew and wrote went to REAL PATRIOTIC AMERICANS, of which Thank God, there are many more than the whiners!

Right you are!

I don't know why Medusa Benjamin and comrades are not arrested in Iraq and the military family members told to go home. Or at least block them from coming into the country.

The far left has been desperatly trying to find soldiers serving in Iraq to turn against their country, they failed. So now they go on to plan B and they get a bunch of whiny mothers upset that "Junior" left the home and became a Man.

Rush made an interesting observation today:

60 years after Pearl Harbor, which was the 2nd worst attack we have suffered, pretty much the whole country honors the fallen, and thanks the WW2 vets.

But 2 years after THE worst attack, the country can't come together as a whole in support of our president, the troops or the WoT.

Thanks to the democRATs/communists, we are no longer standing united.

I heard. Rush's observation comparing now to WWII times was great.

In a similar vein, Ann Coulter has remarked (I'm paraphrasing here):

If today's Dems were around when WWII occurred, they might have attacked the war by saying:
"Why fight Hitler? Germany didn't attack Pearl Harbor. Where are the death camps? They haven't proven any exist."

I'm inviting military family members and veterans who support our actions in Iraq, Afghanistan and elsewhere in fighting the war on terror to join me at the Wednesday morning press conference. I think it's important to provide a counter-voice to the proceedings. The intent is not to disrupt, but to speak to the media and others in attendance.

Please contact me via freepmail or e-mail (kristinn at verizon.net) if you can be there.

It's time for military families to speak out against groups like this. These people get more attention and sympathy than a lot of your realize. They are chipping away at military family resolve one piece at a time and are using naive parents in their cause. Some of these parents know what they are doing while others are just blindly following along due to frustration and fear.

Medea and her lot feel that if they tell a lie often enough it becomes true or at least people think it is.

.

...Please remind the Media Wednesday that...

...with HILLARY's calling over the weekend for more American Troops in Iraq and Afghanistan during Election Year 2004...

...HILLARY's merely pushing for the resumption of a Military Draft that helped bring down President LBJ in 1968.

This per HILLARY's own CLINTON White House Advisor DICK MORRIS on the Fox News Channel's 'The O'REILLY Factor' last week.

GOD Speed.

Needed Families to Speak Out Against Left Wing Groups that Support the Insurgency

All Veterans and Families urges to Stand together against the groups within the US who support terrorism

Statement released this morning in answer to Medena Benjamin's use of Military Families

STATEMENT BY BLUE STAR MOTHERS DENOUNCING LEFTIST-LED IRAQ TOUR BY MILITARY FAMILIES

(Washington, DC) The Blue Star Mothers of America strongly condemns the organizers of the recent visit to Iraq by parents of American service members. Operation Iraq Watch* and Global Exchange* are anti-American leftist groups that are cynically exploiting the fears and concerns of families in order to achieve their goal of undermining morale and bringing about the defeat of America in the War on Terror.

While the Blue Star Mothers share the families' concerns for the safety and well being of our sons and daughters in uniform, we believe the best way to ensure their swift and safe return home is to give our full support to their mission. Anything less plays into the hands of our enemies and gives aid and comfort to those who are targeting our troops for maiming and death with IEDs, RPGs, car bombs, etc.

The Blue Star Mothers of America is a congressionally chartered veterans support group whose members are parents of active duty or honorably discharged veterans. Our organization is active in troop support, veterans support and promoting patriotism. We have members active in forty-four (44) states, many of whom have sons or daughters deployed to Iraq and Afghanistan.

AMM,

Thanks for posting the Blue Star Mothers' statement. Do you have a web address for the organization?

Maybe some of them can help Kristinn in person tomorrow morning?
