I see the hefer from cow town is at it again. If Ivins would care a bit less about bashing Bush and a bit more about not stuffing her face each day, she might trim down and not look so much like the Grand Champion steer at the Houston Livestock show and Rodeo.

It's always entertaining to watch desperate leftists churn out the red meat for their feckless supporters, but this article is so rotten that it almost spoils the fun.
Charitably, I suppose that this article is just more boring bashing of Bush, and that Molly really doesn't use such nonsense in her own personal evaluation of our President.
For if she does take her own words seriously, then she and anyone who is suckered by her will be unpleasantly surprised time and again by a President who is compassionate, smart, and deceptively aggressive.

Molly is such a fool.
Doesn't she realize her little rant could just as easily be written about her choice in the 2000 election, Weird Al? His daddy connections kept his butt in a safe position as an "journalist" And without his political pull, his prissy, BORING attitude would NEVER have gotten him elected by the people of Tennessee
Or for that matter, JFK. Had it not been for HIS politically connectioned father, who bailed his ass out of the PT 109 fiasco (should have been court-martialed for dereliction of duty, etc.) His father turned that sow's ear into medals for "heroic" actions, thus giving him a platform to run for president.
And her
bit@hing about W. surrounding himself with the sons of famous fathers, should we have to remind her Royal Hickness that nepotism ran rampant with Democrats (JFK hired his own inexperienced brother as Attorney General)
Neither she's a typical lying liberal or she's the biggest idiot that ever sat behind a keyboard. (I'm betting both)

Molly Ivins has been a Bush-hater for a very long time. Virtually every columns she has written in the last three years or so has been full of anti-Bush vitriol. She is a blatant partisan and thus her rantings are to be viewed as just more swill from the fanatical left.

I have always wondered how Molly has lived among us all these years yet understands Texas not at all. Were not the major papers in this state as liberal as she is, I wonder what she would do for a living?

I heard Molly Ivins speak in 1992. She said that then Sen. Bill Bradley was the most intellectual man in politics. And I was supposed to be impressed????

Summary: "
He is neither mean nor stupid" BUT he's an unfair clueless liar who can barely read, hates poor people and has no idea of what's going on in the world.
Thanks for your balanced assessment, Molly.

She starts off slow on this one, I suppose to sucker people in, but it turns into the predictable Molly (the Pig) Ivins anti-"shrub" screed.

Bush has simply never acknowledged that not only was he born with a silver spoon in his mouth -- he's been eating off it ever since. I can't figure out why she's acting like this is a bad thing. Does Bush have to feel guilty about his family's success? It's not like he's shown himself incapable of doing business himself...He did become president, and his daddy did not elect him.

My local paper prints molly's hate speech regularly, since the editor is a typical RAT lapdog leftie. The drunken old cow is so predictable I don't bother reading her rants.

Funny how it's OK with the socialists that their idol, shanty Irish Saint Jack, was a phoney war hero, could buy elections, screw anything that moved, hide his physical disabilities from the public, be addicted to speed and steal the presidency from a better man.

Welfare, Medicare, Social Security, food stamps -- horrors, they breed dependency. Whereas inheriting millions of dollars and having your whole life handed to you on a platter is good for the grit in your immortal soul? Proof that the stupid b***h is a communist. And that communists aka socialists aka progressives aka Dem'o'craps are just envious of others who are more successful. (I couldn't stand to read much of the article.)
I did notice the "hideously infair" tax cut. Well, I was glad to have MY freaking taxes cut - and I am far from rich.
Where in the operating manual for human existence does it say that every individual must be exactly the same and have exactly the same outcome and advantages as everyone else?
Ivins is so bitter, angry and full of hate that I will not be surprised if she succumbs to serious illness in the near future.

"Texas is a perennial leader in hunger because we have 43 counties in South Texas (and some in East Texas) that are like Third World countries." Yes, 43 counties in South Texas that are inundated with illegal invaders and are indeed what the demonrats favor, and would like to turn the rest of America into, it is a third world country that votes solidly demonrat even though the demonrats have done zip to garner their illegal votes.
Illegals have developed shanty towns made of plywood and trash that resembles Mexico City. Bush went in pandering and built them roads, water lines, and electricity. The demonrats certainly never did that, and it's the one thing I don't hold against them and a reason not to vote for Bush.
Even though he added to the ten billion dollar Texas debt using tax money to pander to invaders that shouldn't be at the ballot box, they still voted demonrat and will do so in 2004. The only thing Bush accomplished is another addition to the list of reasons to go fishing on election day.
