It's not music, but ladies that calm the 'savage beast'.

"After all, the Straight Guys on the show are motivated to clean up for the women in their lives. The least the women can do is to show them the way."

After ten years of marriage 3 kids and supporting ALL my womans needs and extravagance...the least she could do is ... SHUT THE HE** UP!

ROTFLMAO!

I definitely agree with this regards women/girls today. However, I do not believe that gay guys are somehow the last bastion of fashion and manners. The fact that a gay guy is also self-absorbed, anal(pun intended), and obsessive-compulsive is not surprising to me. That does not mean they have better taste than anyone else.

I have long said that the perfect couple would be a gay man and a straight woman, who marry and raise boys and girls to be both refined and nurturing.

The rebby lost me with that ill-conceived and idiotic statement.

I generally do not watch TV, but I saw one episode of this show while I was visiting.

I was embarrassed for the guy they were "redoing". Where was his self respect?

I thought he looked much better in the "before" than the "after". The "gay guys" came across as condescending and intolerant. I thought the straight guys dignity was a high price to pay for a houseful of new furniture.

"His apartment looked like a barn and smelled like a stable. His five-o'clock shadow made him the twin of Uday Hussein. He planned to propose to his live-in girlfriend."

If she is his live-in, she contributes to the living conditions. What a load of garbage this entire read is.
It assumes that men fit the stereotype he sets up.
And that is untrue.

I have to admit that, although I bucked and snorted before watching it with the bitter half, "QEFTSG" has left me laughing more than once. Have I "turned" gay? I don't think so...but I have noticed lately that our kitchen is so-o-o-o "busy".

Poor use of the word Messiah. Anyone who thinks a gay hairdresser fits the term needs to go back to school.

The pan-homosexual movement has long had a component that advocates homosexual men as leaders and shamans of cultures, if not outright messiahs. It isn't endearing, and it isn't cute, but it is morbidly amusing in that - surprise, surprise - these "positions" are always considered important and clearly superior to the common herd.

The gay community is fundamentally opposed to the concepts of selflessness and true egalitarianism. Excessive cultivation of stilted manners and post-grad aesthetics hardly qualifies anyone as a knight in shining armor.

Or flaming armor, if you will.

"Gay' men as the straight man's messiah?"

No, wickedness and ungodliness shamelessly promoted by BRAVO in order to desensitize the masses to accept the perversity of the homosexual death style.

Well this "article" is a bit on the horrid side. The title tipped the whole thing off. Mesiah? Has the author even looked up the meaning of the word?

This show takes a stereotype and runs with it. They could find some straight guys who would help the slobs get their act together, but then what would be the twist?

I found it entertaining and watched the first few episodes but now it's a yawn as there is very little left to do with the show. THey show up, teach guy some basics, buy some stuff for him and house and then watch the guy to see how much he pulls off/screws up. I find the comments by the friends/family/coworkers the most entertaining and they are little more than 5-10 second blurbs.

However, one has to wonder exactly how much sticks for the long term? I doubt that most guys would still keep going to get their eyebrows done nor can many afford the fashions that the show gravitates toward.
