Bill Maher has made another stab at career suicide. The Bush-bashing comic stunned some of Hollywood's most powerful liberals by joking about Bill Clinton's sexual indiscretions at a benefit honoring Sen. Hillary Clinton. New York's junior Senator was accepting an Oceana Partners award in Los Angeles last Wednesday for her work on environmental issues. Maher emceed the event, which also honored marine explorer Jean-Michel Cousteau, as well as Ron Howard and his Imagine partner, Brian Glazer.
Among the unamused in the audience were Oceana board member Ted Danson, Leonardo DiCaprio, Kiefer Sutherland, Diane Lane, Josh Brolin, Jake Gyllenhaal and Kirsten Dunst, Norman Lear and Jeffrey Katzenberg.
"Maher began bringing up 'Bill Clinton's [bleep] jobs' - with Hillary sitting right there in front of him eating her chicken," says a witness. "It was just cruel. Ted Danson's wife, Mary Steenburgen, is a longtime friend of the senator's. I can't believe they approved of this."
The former President, although not there, was listed as a co-chairman of the event, which raised $600,000.
Maher also took a shot at Cousteau - sniping: "That must feel great, getting a one-quarter standing ovation." Cousteau walked out of the building shortly afterward.
ABC canceled Maher's show. "Politically Incorrect" after controversial remarks about the 9/11 terrorists. He now has a show on HBO.
Reps for Danson and Clinton had no comment.

Mahar has no tact, but anything that causes Hitlery discomfort, I will approve.

Ted Danson is offended? A few years ago, there was a minor uproar over an obscene and degrading comment this fool made about black women at a Friar's Club roast, yet he is wounded to the core when someone mocks the Clintoons. Shows where lib priorities really lie.

Liberals are humorless. Danny Goldberg was right when he said the Left lost "teen spirit". I'm a young Republican and I became one to annoy most of the older family friends and people I run into. Gradually, it's grown on me and while partisans on both sides usually can't laugh at themself, the Left is getting worse every day while the Right seems to be lightening up a little (ie: Dennis Miller, South Park).

They can dish it, but they sure can't take it. What a bunch of lightweights.

"Maher began bringing up 'Bill Clinton's [bleep] jobs' - with Hillary sitting right there in front of him eating her chicken," says a witness.Fair's fair. After all, Hillary always used to bring up the subject of chicken while Bill was eating...
... well. You know. :)

Mahar vacillates between being bizarre and delusional. He always acts as if he just left the "crack shack" if you ask me. Nevertheless, I always enjoy Hitlery or Slick Willy Jokes. On another note - I bet that Hillary was surprised when she poked her mug in that tent over in Iraq and saw all of the men huddled around a gleaming President Bush. She believed the President to be at his ranch and thought it a good opportunity to try to steal some thunder on Turkey Day. HAHA! Nice try Assrabbit!

Intrigued by the incoherence of the title, I followed the link to discover that the headline was indeed Tasteless gags Maher a Hillary tribute. Yes, just like that. Undoubtedly keyed in by a J-school graduate.

God forgive me, but it delights the hell out of me to read stuff like this. Bill Maher is an a-hole deluxe but his audience at this function deserved every insult handed them.

Ted Danson's bigger gaffe was when he appeared in public in blackface.

It's a fairly unsuccessful attempt at punning, I believe. Maher = "mar" (
spoil).

The New York Daily News sees fit to call them "bleep"jobs? After the Clinton years???
In the 1990s we saw a band named the Butthole Surfers go to #1 on the charts, Beavis and Butthead on cable tv and on the movie screens, and nightly defense statements as to just why oral sex was not sex (a fallicy that kids still repeat today).
Call them what they are liberal media "blow jobs". If X42 can get them on "company time" while deploying troops overseas, if he can get them on Easter Sunday while making foreign dignitaries wait in the Rose Garden, we can use this slang term.

You're in my same time zone, so how is it you're so smart at this ungodly hour of the morning? Chronic insomnia. The older you get... the less and less sleep you'll be getting most nights, believe me.
Plus: I was an English major (Vanderbilt, '79). :)
