Hillary Clinton Refuses to Rule Out 2004 Vice Presidential Bid in ABC News Interview
ABC News This Week with George S. and George Will ^

George Will and the host of 'This Week' were interviewing the Former First Lady and she was asked straight up whether she would accept, if asked the Vice Presidential bid of her party at the Convention.
She did not answer the question directly and said that would support the party's nominee.
To the viewer it looked like a statement of intentions.

She promised the people of NYS she'd serve out her term... Liar, liar, pantsuit on fire.
Y'all better be up-wind if her pants catch fire.
The smoke from Ole Crusty has got to be lethal to ordinary working folks.

Jeb Bush! I think he is going to run in 2008. He's should be a shoo-in if the economy is still good in 2007.

If she runs as VP candidate then Cheney will bow out
and Condi Rice will become VP...and will waste her in the VP
debates
There is ZERO chance of Cheney serving out a 2nd tem as veep
anyway... a workable heir apparent is needed for 08.
Condi is slated to replace him sometime in the 2nd term anyway IMO.
The Clintons suspect as much and fear that a Rice run in 08
will draw enough of the Black vote to make it impossible for a dem to win.
2008--> Condi Rice/Jeb Bush
Black pres candidate running with a VP surrounded by hispanic wife and kids = no chance for dems :-)

I count 12 times that Hitlery said "no" in responses to Russert.
I think she'll run.

We live in central New York State and we did not vote for her. During Hillary's campaign, all you saw around here were Lazio signs, including ours. New York City elected Hillary, but that was before 9/11. Please remember 9/11 changed the world. Hopefully. I don't think even New York City is going to trust another Clinton with their security.

I, too, noticed what I call "bra lines" across her back. Either her undies were too tight or her jacket was; that WAS an expensive jacket she had on...it should have fit her better.

"Nah, she'll VP for Dean..."
I really don't think the Clinton camp will ever have anything to do with Dr. Dean. If he should get the nomination, he'll toss McAuliffe out with the bath water...and Mcauliffe is the Clinton's boy all the way! There IS a new PAC (is that what you call them?!?) named 'Americans coming Together' which appears, at least to some, of being under the control of Clintons/McAuliffe. Lots and LOTS of money going to it...the Clinton crowd does NOT want available money to go to Dean's candidacy. Dick Morris has written at least one great article on all of this.

BOTOX® Cosmetic is indicated for the temporary improvement in the appearance of moderate to severe glabellar (frown) lines associated with corrugator and/or procerus muscle activity in adult patients aged 65 years or less. The most common side effects are headache, respiratory infection, flu syndrome, temporary eyelid droop, nausea and unrealistic visions of grandeur.
To: hapc
Nah....I don't see it.
Particularly because Dean will win the nomination, but he cannot win in the general election. Dean is also not the Clinton candidate, which is why Leon Panetta is out their attempting to scare the primary voters.
If Clark was the nominee, I'd agree she'd go for VP...but she's not going to hang her hat on a losing nomination.

Jeb Bush is a horrible choice for the Republican Nominee in '08. Granted that in a vacuum he would probably be a good president, but:
1) It is not a good idea in theory to have an apparent "Bush Dynasty" in this country;
2) It is not a good idea in practice to try for an apparent "Bush Dynasty". In other words, Jeb is likely to be unelectable because a number of people do not like the idea of 3 Bush Presidents out of the last 4 Presidents;
3) Remember his wife's efforts to dodge tariff laws by smuggling some stuff in the country several years ago;
I submit that Gov. Bob Erilch of Maryland, Mark Sanford of South Carolina, and Sen. (former Gov.) George Allen of Virginia would make excellent candidates for president in 2008. Each of these guys offers most, if not all, of the advantages of Jeb, but without many of his liabilities.

I agree with you. Dean has no love for McCauliffe and quite frankly she is not aging well. On the other hand I work with a bunch of liberal women who hate Bush and would love to see Hillary be the first woman president. I may have another job in the next couple of weeks. I am so tempted to tell them what I think of their politics.

Dean won't win the primary - think about it - how many states have cancelled their Democratic primaries in favor of caucuses? Many. Why? She plans to stuff the caucuses with her supporters and steal the primary.
I figured this was the plan after somebody accused Dean of planning this. Personally, I don't think Dean would need to do this. Hence, the accusation stinks of Clintonista plans.
If she gets the primary, she won't win - think back to 2000. She would need to peel votes from Nadar and Bush to win. She can't.
Nadar will get all of Dean's votes, and Bush already has a stronghold on moderate Democrats who voted for Gore.
Therefore, I see BJ doing something (either through his international terrorists buddies or a false disease on is part) to garner a false image of Hillary to try and prop her up.
Her negatives are so high that many Dems would never vote for her. Susan Sarandon hates her gutts, and she's only the first one in the former circle to speak out from the moneyed crowd.
To: Tom D.
Don't forget, W wasn't a contender until 1998. It's good to have a quiet bench from which to work. No good to have Dems doing dirty detail work on folks not even given a chance at bat.
We've got a deep bench - however, why give them advance notice on who they are? Jeb? Not yet. Wait until 2012. Maybe.

I thought Hillary likes to be on top.
