To bring you up to speed, the 92, LA riots were the largest in American history. I have not a clue what your last post was all about. LOL!

You obviously never heard of the New York Draft Riots of 1863 where HUNDREDS of people were killed, much of Manhattan was burned to the ground and Lincoln had to call in troops from the south to put down the disorder.

LOL....Whatever bro, the fact of the matter is that the LA riots were the most destructive in American history. I wasn't talken about the number of deaths. I was talking the largest, most destructive riots in American history. It's a fact.

I was referring to the *largest*, *most destructive* riot in American history. There was only one my friend. And that was the 1992 LA riots.......No other. LOL!

There is such a long list of fault lines running through America, I don't know which if any will be the trigger, but once the dam breaks, things could get interesting fast

Like a chain reaction in which each split atom collides with two others, which then split four more, splitting 16, and so on, I think the cascading effect that follows that first trigger you describe is likely to follow that nuclear model.

Just for the record...Shakira Baksh Caine is not Brazilian; she is Anglo/Indian by way of Guyana (Miss Guyana 1967). Caine thought she was Brazilian because he first saw her in a coffee commercial.

That does sound a little like the "poor people's children" problem we have seen in recent history... Sad event... And I am not sure if at the time of the riots if black men were allowed to serve in the military...

And I know it is true that blacks and the Irish have been looked upon unfavorably and discriminated against by others in this country for quite some time...

A lot of these riots seem to be a 'poor have not' thing. During the civil war, you could buy your way out of the draft. My father remembers a lot black people in Harlem having it better than himself. Oh well such is life.

Swain thinks there's only one way out of this bind: recognizing that whites have "legitimate" beefs about race that should be openly debated by politicians and scholars.

Debate? Nonsense. Here's a simple, common sense solution: Restore the Founders' concept of equality under the law for all citizens regardless of race or gender or ethnicity or whatever. Preferences will destroy America. They are unjust, period. It doesn't take a genius or the media. Just do it.
