Free Republic highlight for me: Almost as quickly as the Free Republic table was set up, a forum broke out on the right side of the table. I had to ask the A & E cameraman to move over so that I could take a picture of OUR TABLE. Then A & E asked me to flip through the book that showed all the threads. He also filmed the flowers and semi-participated in the forum on the right. Other media was there but not with any satellite trucks.

We didn't need them. Everyone had a wonderful time as if it was a special reunion, and the lawn that always looks like hay thanks to Terri's supporters, was once again, a very special place.

Thanks everyone, for your unwavering support for Terri and the Schindler family.

This milestone celebration was for you too.

Thanks everyone, for your unwavering support for Terri

I support Terri. I support her right to death with dignity. I support her right to die without undue interference from the church, state, courts or family members. Yes, I support Terri's right to go to a better place. Let her go.

I apologize for being suckered into participating in an off-topic digression from the original subject. I believe what you intended for this thread [please correct me if I'm wrong']was:

1. To let people who were not there what it was like at a FR gathering Terri's 40th birthday.
2. To encourage those who were there to post their pictures of the event in one place.

To the second one, I had a question. Did you want the photos sent to you or do you intend for you or someone else to start a separate thread for all of the pics taken.

I wasn't there, would like to see them.

Thank you for being there for Terri, and for us, Nanc. The flowers and crystal, Daniel Webster ~ very nice. No minimalist Birthday for this woman who's had the bare minimum provided by her 'guardian' over the years.

Did you sing outside her window? I would love to have done that, a chorus w/ instruments ~ strings, flute ~ Christmas Carols now.

How lenient is the Hospice about your outside activities?

Hugs for all your efforts to stand by Terri, spread the truth, comfort her family. Y

Nancy aka floriduh voter, Thank you for your support at Terri's birthday party. I really appreciate the update and just want to say thanks to all of you who were able to go. I wish I could, but being from California and on unemployement I couldn't. I thought about her most of the day. I'm still very sad about the story I read, if true, that her birthday cards put on her wall by her mother were removed.

This email message received from my friend, Chris Hansen, who is incidentally blind:

Ronald Reagan is now unable to care for himself. Neither is Terri Schiavo. The only signifficance between Ronnie and Terri is this: Nancy wants Ronnie to live; Michael wants Terri to die! So, if life and death depend on whether or not somebody is wanted, then I have a novel solution for those who have marrital problems, or problems with their kids-and who doesn't! If someone isn't wanted, the solution is simple-pull out your gun and ... bang!!! Now doesn't that make life easy?

You had a cake, balloons, flowers, stuffed animals, and whatever else. Who paid for all of that? Is it coming out of a Free Republic fund?

If you need us to chip in, let us know!

Bad news, kids. The press seems to be taking a very negative slant this weekend and is churning out quite a few "yay for death" articles and opinion pieces that are inaccurate and false. I suspect (though I could be wrong) that End of Life Choices has indeed launched their Florida campaign and this has something to do with that. If I'm right about that, there is probably more of this "death is cool" nonsense to be shoved down everyone's throats very soon.

The public arena has been pretty important in Terri's case. For years, press and media and misreported her condition. They've practically sided with those who want inconvenient people hurried out the door. They've overlooked (time and time again I might add) some pretty monumental irregularities in the court proceedings and, perhaps most inhumane, have totally ignored evidence that Terri maintains a far greater level of awareness and ability than her guardian and his lawyer would like the world to believe.

You decide for yourself if they are attempting to protect the court or furthering the Hemlock Society's agenda. I would assess that it's a bit of both.

We need letters to the editors and feedback. Please consider writing one and circulating the below to your email lists. Let your voice be heard.
