And we still haven't found out what was in that shot that he fired a White House doctor over. Remember that? There was a Bush White House doctor still in the White House early in the Clinton administration who was ordered to give Clinton an injection. Since the doctor wasn't told what was in the injection he correctly refused to administer it and was promptly fired.

Of course there was the case of Gov. Bush's daughter Noelle being prosecuted. But she was charged with using a forged prescription, which is a different, arguably more serious, situation.

If I were Rush, I would sue the prosecutor caliming that he was harassing Rush and selectively enforcing the law because the prosecutor has a personal and political hatred for Rush. BTW, this is the same Palm Beach that put the duh in Floriduh.

Nope. Rush was not trafficking(selling). The drugs were to be used for satisfying his addiction. Ususally addicted users who did not committ violent crimes to get their drugs usually get probation if they go through treatment, and that is what should happen to Rush, but you have a demo/Hillary operative doing a fishing expedition.

Also for anyone(Libertarians) who wants to compare Rush to Tommy Chong. Tommy Chong was selling paraphenalia used in smoking dope while Rush was trying to satisfy his addiction. Totally different situations.

This guy is prosecuting a case for strict political gain. He should be recalled, if Florida has such a statute. Otherwise, a few million out of the Republican coffers might help get rid of him in his next bid for re-election.

Holt began by casting the situation in the worst light for Rush, alleging that "these are serious charges, going from one doctor to another, trying to get prescriptions."

If this was such a 'serious' charge, why did Florida just inact this law last year. The problem with this and many drug laws is they lowered the bar so low to make it easier for Drug prosecutors to get convictions. All that has to be established is that Rush got prescriptions from more than one doctor for a similar drug within a 30 day period and did not inform the other doctor(s) of this previous prescription. I understand what the law was trying to prevent, but I would bet there are thousands and thousands of people out there commiting this 'felony' and don't know it.

Actually Chong was caught with a fair amount of pot, but plea bargained it down to the paraphenalia charges.

In a friggin NATIONAL ENQUIRER article the maid "admitted" she sold them. Is there any proof of this beyond her word in that rag? Why should she be believed?

Two things:

1--I think the abbreviation for the new federal law is HIPA. (Health Insurance Privacy Act?) Anyone who has visited their doctor within the last 6-months is probably been asked to sign a document stating you have read your doctor's position on the privacy of your medical records.

Four of my doctor's state that their position on the issue of the privacy of my medical records is that they will release them to "law enforcement."

Mr. Limbaugh should have read the fine print on those documents.

2--One of my main criticism's of Mr. Limbaugh is that he will not use part of the fortune he has accumulated from the audience of his show (including me) to fight the federal leviathan on constitutional issues. (remember, Mr. Limbaugh highly praises the founding fathers who pledge their fortune, their honor, and their lives for liberty)

Well, here is his opportunity.

Our federal government has no constitutional basis for prohibiting the consumption or ingestion of the chemical or food of our choice.

In fact, our federal government is explicitly constitutionally prohibited from denying our right to consume the chemicals and food of our choice.

"The enumeration in the Constitution of certain rights, shall not be construed to DENY OR DISPARAGE others (rights) retained by the people."

The people have a "retained" right to consume or ingest what they want or need.

You have to admit, Rush's circumstance is largely a product of his own doing. Of all people, he should have known that when his addiction was found out that he would be hounded and could loose it all. I was personally hurt by his clandestine life of saying one thing on the radio and living another off the radio. And what of his wife Marta, of whom he used to idolize, but now never even mentions her name. Has she been quietly set aside in a divorce?

One has to begin to wonder whether this will be his end or not. If it is, then we who have patronized his program need to insist that the EIB not fall with him. I am supporting him and still listen, but I also want to be real. If he can't overcome this serious challenge, someone must be in the ready to take his place. The EIB is the beckon, the microphone is golden, let's not let the voice for truth and optimism fade.

Rush's doctors aren't the first to be investigated for Oxycontin precription abuse.

However, Black specifically singled out Holt's MSNBC for very publicly going through Rush's medical records or reports, with people calling out the name of drugs and doctors.

Yesterday Chris Jansing on MSNBC repeatedly phrased her statements as if the allegations in the warrants were established facts, like "Rush Limbaugh was doctor shopping", then later she would occasionally add "The warrant says".

Holt has always struck me as pretty evenhanded.
