The word is getting around. Wendy Garcia, 19, is neither going to work nor going shopping on Friday, Dec. 12. Ditto for Ana Flores, 46, and Reynaldo Guzman, 32.

These Latino immigrants -- angered by Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger's repeal on Wednesday of the driver's license bill that would have given illegal immigrants the right to drive -- will participate in a planned "boycott": a one-day economic strike in which Latinos are encouraged to not go to work, school or buy anything.

Really I wouldn't care if people didn't want to speak at all --- as long as they didn't think they were entitled to special rights and government handouts as a result of their failure to learn the common language. Something has gone too far when even the welfare social workers have to speak Spanish so that the immigrants won't be inconvenience by having to hear their benefits explained in English.

Wouldn't you know they would pick the 12th of December. You can bet they won't boycot the 1st of the month when the gubment checks and food stamps arrive.

Our streets and highways are full of people from Mexico tonight. The last time I remember so much traffic was the 1st weekend of November.

Fitz, have you noticed a large increase in traffic from Mexico the first week of the month? We are really crowded here. It seems like more and more Mexican tags.

Such a shame... You mentioned food stamps. I want to know why New York state is ADVERTISING food stamps on the radio? What's more they say 'immigrants can apply without fear'. What? You mean ILLEGAL ALIENS!

Think how unbusy the police will be if they stay off the roads, etc. Maybe even less crime? We can only hope they really do this.

So far as I know, illegal aliens are not supposed to get food stamps. However, I, personally know of one illegal alien who gets food stamps. She said she had to lie to get them, but she gets them. She is an anchor baby momma. The child is too old for WIC so now they get food stamps plus housing, medical care , dental care, education and speech therapy for her child all paid for by you and me.

I know illegals like that too. I also know illegals who pay for their own medical care in cash. It's a very strange situation. We have a big problem in America with welfare and healthcare. Illegals are not helping matters. I see trial lawyers very responsible for this too. Hospitals are afraid of being sued. Who wants to turn away sick people then get sued?

Quite frankly, I don't know of any illegals who pay for their own health care. Most use the ERs for colds and runny noses. I guess a few may use the 24 hour medical clinics but not all.

Illegals sue doctors here quite often. It is a big problem.

Here's an idea. How about if all the illegal aliens take one day to NOT go to the County Hospitals? How about they NOT drive on the roads that day? What if they keep all their kids out of the public schools on that day? How about if all the "day laborers" refrain from hanging around on street corners that day, openly urinating and defecating on the streets and harassing women who walk by? How about if they all refrain from blasting their music, taking shopping carts from stores and abandoning them, spray-painting graffiti, and committing crimes that day? Then citizens and legal immigrants might get a taste of what it would be like in their towns without the illegal alien invasion.

At first I was fascinated by the acrobatic convolutions of misapplied logic, but now he just p^sses me off.

One thing everyone is missing too is that Dec 12 is a holiday for Mexicans ---- in Mexico most don't go to work that day either and they want to bring that tradition here. It's unfair to expect them to show up for work on their national holidays.
