This thread serves as a place for posting all new general information and references, along with links following Terri's case, plus information on cable news and talk radio shows dealing with the issue, court cases and press releases. This is also the place to post contact information, prayers and general discussion.
If you have something that qualifies as BREAKING NEWS or FRONT PAGE NEWS, please post it on a separate thread in that category in order to give it maximum exposure and then post a link to the article/thread here so that it will be included in the next update of links. Also, if you post links to articles from original sources and there is also a thread on FR, please link to the FR thread. Many original links become corrupt over time and we want to be able to access the information at will.
You will notice that this thread is not specifically dated. That is because we are just going to keep this one going until we have need of another one.
A reminder: please do not post personal information on the public forum. We have lots of folks on scene down in Florida and we don't want them having any problems with the death squad.

Florida House and Senate contacts:
http://terrisfight.org/housesenate.html Session begins March 2 and Senate Bill 692 is not yet on the agenda. This bill makes it illegal to withhold food and water without prior written consent (advanced directive) from the patient. Either they let this bill be heard or they strike the law that calls food and water 'medical treatment'. If it's truly medical treatment, I should have the right to decide if I want it or not.

Schiavo's Husband Tries To Stop Witnesses' Testimony
From The Associated Press
Published: Feb 23, 2004
CLEARWATER - Michael Schiavo, who's battling Gov. Jeb Bush in court over whether Terri Schaivo's feeding tube should be removed, will again try to block the governor's attorneys from questioning some potential witnesses.
A husband battling Gov. Jeb Bush in court over whether a feeding tube should be removed from the man's severely brain-damaged wife will again try to block the governor's attorneys from questioning some potential witnesses.
An attorney for Bush alerted the court Monday that he will make a second attempt to take depositions from seven witnesses, including Terri Schiavo's husband, Michael, and the woman with whom he now lives.
Michael Schiavo's attorney, George Felos, said he will again ask a judge to block the depositions, despite a 2nd District Court of Appeal ruling against him earlier this month that said they could be conducted.
Schiavo is suing the governor over the hastily passed law that let Bush intervene in the six-year legal battle over the fate of his wife, who has been in what some doctors call a persistent vegetative state since her heart stopped for 10 minutes in 1990.
In October, doctors had removed the feeding tube keeping her alive before the Legislature gave the governor the power to intervene and order the tube reinserted.
Her parents, Bob and Mary Schindler, are fighting their son-in-law, contending that her condition could improve with therapy. They also question whether she had any such end-of-life wishes.
Bush's attorney, Ken Connor, said in court documents that besides Michael Schiavo and the woman with whom he lives, Jodi Centonze, depositions will be sought from Schiavo's brother and sister- in-law, Scott and Joan Schiavo, and three doctors who have examined Terri Schiavo.
All but Centonze have testified in previous court proceedings in the case. Scott and Joan Schiavo testified about what they said were Terri Schiavo's statements that she would never want to be kept alive artificially.
Felos contends testimony of those witnesses would be irrelevant to the issue at hand - the constitutionality of the state law that let Bush order the feeding tube reinserted.
He has accused the governor of trying to improperly intervene in the fight over Terri Schiavo's guardianship. Her parents have mounted a court challenge to try to show their son-in-law as unfit to be legal guardian.
The appeals court struck down Felos' earlier effort to block the depositions, but he said Monday that the ruling did not preclude him from further efforts to stop them.

I didn't se anyone post the information that Terri's Parents have Filed a Contempt of Court motion against Michael for withholding her medical information, especially about her recent vomiting which I understand form reading the other posts is now better.
I started a seperate thread with the information
http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-news/1085116/posts You can find it on the front page of TerrisFight.Org
Here is the press release-
Michael Schiavo accused of contempt of court
Family of disabled woman files motion of contempt in response to husbands withholding of medical information
Clearwater, FL February 24, 2004: Today, the parents of Terri Schindler-Schiavo filed a motion in the Sixth Judicial Circuit asking that the court hold Michael Schiavo in Contempt of Court for disobeying a 1996 court mandate that orders him to divulge changes in his wifes medical condition to her parents.
During the beginning of the week of February 16, Ms. Schiavo had experienced a bout of vomiting. Upon learning of her condition, her parents asked nursing staff and Hospice staff working at Park Place Assisted Living Facility in Clearwater, Florida what had caused their daughters illness and what was being done to treat her. The Schindlers were told by the staff that they could not divulge any information by orders of Michael Schiavo.
Tuesday, attorney Patricia Anderson filed a motion seeking Contempt of Court charges against Michael Schiavo.
In 1996, a court order from the Sixth Judicial Circuit, directed Mr. Schiavo to disclose any changes in Terris medical condition to her family.
Additionally, a court order in September of 2003 directed Mr. Schiavo to give a discharge summary from Morton Plant Hospital to Terris parents. As of this writing, he has yet to comply with the order.
The original 1996 court order can be found on:
http://zimp.org/documents/1996%20Court%20Order.pdf I still think the main reason Michael wants her dead because when the money runs out he will have to pay her medical bills, and if you divorce a disabled person in Florida you have to continue to support them. He spent HER money on lawyers to have her killed, now that the money has run out he knows if he doesn't get her killed HE will have to start paying out of his pocket for her care as her legal husband or as her divorced ex-husband (either way da slim bucket has gotta pay), and that will no doubt be an inconveninece to his new main squeeze and the children they have bore.
