Sandra Jolly said her 6-year-old son's Christmas was spoiled when his teacher told the first-grade class Monday that "Santa Claus is make-believe."

"He had this sad, lost puppy dog look on his face. This unhappy, empty look," Jolly said. "He said his teacher informed the entire class that Santa is make-believe."

Right. I will still "play" Santa with my kids, but I won't lie to them and act like he is real.

I will have Santa decorations etc., but my kids will know it is just imagination and the spirit of child-like anticipation and innocent joy represented by the fictional character.

In other words, have a happy Wiccan Solstice.

Not that there's anything wrong with it.

You can still play Santa while making sure your kids know it is just for fun; he is not real.

That is what I will be doing. It will still be fun, but you also will be telling the truth.

You can NOT equate premarital sex and Santa Claus; you just can't! But do try again, dear.

There are times, when a parent has to lie to children and I'm NOT talking about Santa Claus. Children need to be shielded from much, though unfortunately, today many aren't.

Most, if not all, parents don't tell their kids that ALL of the presents are from Santa.

Do YOU have any children ?

Why don't you GET some kids before you tell us what you'll be doing.

That's another thing that I really had fun doing as a kid....trying to find the hidden presents.

That was fun! And it didn't require making up stuff to tell your kids either.

A friend of ours taped the HBO special for us but I haven't watched it in about two years... I STILL have his lines running through my head constantly.

And every time someone writes "Ciao", I hear it in Eddie Izzards voice!

I'm Fox-deprived here ... did Miss November give the same ol' same ol' on tv, too? What happened?

What a self-righteous, ignorant twit.

Any card with a dog with it's eyes photoshopped will do.

The larger the better.

Or happy Mithra's birthday, or whatever, since our Christmas celebrations are just about 100% pagan anyway; though it used to be a whole lot more ribald.

Right up YOUR alley, yes ?
