The democrats of Palm Beach are going to do their level best to have Rush be the only first time offender to be denied a withold of adjudication and drug court. Rush, unlike those you know, is meriting special scruitiny.

Rush Limbaugh is back from five weeks in detox doing business at the same old stand: spewing bile and defaming liberals and Democrats 15 hours a week. This statement clearly shows this writer cares nothing about the laws. He just wants to see Rush punished because he defames the filthy leftists he loves so much.

Good point. Maybe ask Clinton about his sexual drive.

Maybe it doesn't happen where you live, but I see people addicted to prescription drugs going to prison all the time. Usually they are people who have been caught more than once or who were caught forging prescriptions, stealing to buy drugs, etc. I'm a lawyer who represents these people. It's very common for people to develop serious problems with prescription drugs. And some of these drugs appear to be every bit as addictive or more than drugs like meth, cocaine and so on.

I have walked in those moccasins, so Im not going to rush to judgment on Rush .<<<Great testimonial Robe. Thanks for letting us hear it. Congratulations on beating the hook it had in you.
I came close once after a compound fracture that they couldn't set for two weeks while the infection went down. I was on Demerol. A Doc got about 2 inches from my nose and said, very forcefully, "Don't get to like that stuff". Stopped me cold. Glad I wasn't on it any longer - cause it was a pretty nice ride.

Jeb Bush's daughter Noelle was prosecuted in Florida for attempting to buy drugs much milder than Oxycontin with a forged prescription. I must have missed where Limbaugh forged prescriptions. This guy is an idiot.

Oh without a doubt, that is why for someone like Limbaugh it is imperative to keep your nose clean. Why hand the liberals ammunition on a silver platter?

In just about every other WoD thread, the pro-drug war types feel that the addict should face the full penalty of the Law. Up to and including people like CAguy advocating they be shot.
Now, of course, because of his celeberty status.... you are willing to give Rush the benefit of the doubt.
Which is what you SHOULD have ben giving those other drugs cases all along. At least you are consistant in your hypocrisies.

Rather than make a reckless supposition, permit me to ask you forthrightly, do you think Rush should get a pass for any laws he may have broken? Rush should be punished to the fullest extent of the law ONLY AFTER Ted Kennedy is punished for vehicular manslaughter.

"In just about every other WoD thread, the pro-drug war types feel that the addict should face the full penalty of the Law."Hey, they don't even have to be addicts! Just breaking the law will suffice (for me anyways -- I can't speak for the rest).
If Rush broke the law, sure, he should receive the approproiate punishment -- no more or less than any other person in similar circumstances.
But you were asking us if he should "fry", when he hasn't even been charged. Relax. Smoke a joint. If Rush is charged with some crime, then ask the question.
To: robertpaulsen
What Rush did shouldn't have even BEEN a crime. It was a medical matter and should have stayed that way.
Now, we have liberals chomping at the bit to bring him down and Drug Warriors spinning their apologetics for a Conservative hero.
(sarcasm)Thanks.... as if we weren't already dealing with ENOUGH BS already.(/sarcasm)

"Limbaugh richly deserves prosecution."
The author of this article richly deserves chronic, unrelenting back pain!!
To: Dead Corpse
"What Rush did shouldn't have even BEEN a crime."If you truly felt that way, the you and the rest of the liberals who feel the same wouldn't be "chomping at the bit to bring him down", would you?
You would be holding him on your shoulders as a poster child of why drugs should be legal. You and your liberal friends are the hypocrites, not the conservatives.
Find me a conservative that says Rush should get off just because he's Rush.
