To:  The Internal Revenue Service of the United States.

Peta (People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals) have been making over 10 million dollars per year in donations over the last 5 years. On their website, it is shown that your donation will go to help the animals, but it has been discovered otherwise.

Peta has been granted a tax-exempt status on all donations they receive.

To be eligible for 501(c) (3) tax exemption, a group must be organized and operate exclusively for charitable purposes. Its activities cannot be illegal, or "in conflict with express statutory restrictions." And its activities must promote its main purpose.

It was recently discovered that Peta donated $1,500 to the Earth Liberation Front (ELF) to support their ìprogram activities" back in the year 2000.

ELF is considered a terrorist organization by the FBI, and they are not unjustified.

Their "program activities" include the arson of a $12 million mountaintop lodge at Vail, spiking trees in Idaho's Nez Perce National, burning down a barn and cutting fences at a wild horse facility run by the Bureau of Land Management, setting fire to a biotechnology research facility at the University of Minnesota, and numerous other destructive acts. According to the FBI's counterterrorism division, ELF has caused $43 million in damage in the past six years.

The Center for Consumer Freedom has recently discovered that Peta donated $45,000 to the "support committee" for Rodney Coronado, who was convicted of setting fire to a research facility at Michigan State University. They have also discovered that Peta donated $5,000 dollars to the committee for Josh Harper, an associate with ELF's sister organization, the Animal Liberation Front, (ALF) who also commit to violent acts.

I view these as acts of terrorism, extortion, and intimidation, and certainly do not consider them applicatory to the definition of requirements for eligibility for tax-exempt status.

We would like the IRS to please launch a review of Peta's tax exempt status, and become familiarized with the organization. They may find that Peta, as an organization, does not deserve the tax exemption they recieve.

Here, again, is the definition.

To be eligible for 501(c)(3) tax exemption, a group must be organized and operate exclusively for charitable purposes. Its activities cannot be illegal, or "in conflict with express statutory restrictions." And its activities must promote its main purpose.

Do they fit?

Petition for the review by the IRS for tax-exempt donations to Peta.

Thanks for the consideration -Jack McLarty

Sincerely,

The Undersigned

I received this in an email today. I'm not certain how effective these online petitions are but it seems like a good start.

I also caught part of an anti PETA commercial during the O'Reilly break on FOX. Missed who sponsored it.

Can it be that people are finally fed up with these PETA extremists?

According to guidestar.org PETA hauled in $76,731,556 the past 5 years or $15,346,311.20 per year on average.

That's about what Judicial Watch took in during the same time period. Neither PETA or JW should be nonprofits. They are hardly "charities".

There are over 750,000+ nonprofits in America. Many are only in business to push their own political agenda and/or enrich their "handlers".

You think PETA and Judicial Watch are outrageous abuses of the "nonprofit corporation" system? Check this out. Consumers Union, the people that publish Consumers Report take in over $150 million a year. They have almost $200 million in assets. They pay no taxes and when they mail their magazine "we" pay most of the postage.

We need to reform the nonprofit corporation laws in America. They have been abused by people for decades and it's just getting worse. Many of these outfits are not charities in any way shape or form.

I was pleasingly surprized to see two well-done, highly-effective anti-PETA commercials on FOX News tonight. I don't know if anybody else caught them.....they were pretty good and hard-hitting. In one they gave a good portayal of PETA's madness of supporting (for all intents and purposes) domestic terrorists.

PETA is the front group for American terrorists. They wrap themselves as animal-lovers, but they're really America-haters.

Has the IRS ever revoked the non-profit status of a liberal organization? Or a black church where a democratic politician has spoken?

I suspect they are too busy harrassing conservative preachers.

I hope you don't mind me asking, but what ever happens with these petitions?

Are they sent to someone? Is there a number you are shooting for?

Or is it just symbolic?

I saw 'em too. After the first one, I thought is was a pro-peta ad - wasn't paying much attention - at first thought to myself, "Self, what the he** is PETA doing with an ad on FoxNews?" - Then I saw the second. Good ad.

PETA is the "political arm" of ELF and ALF.

Same "insulation" deal is the PLO, HAMAS, and IRA pull.

Yep. I thought the ads were good. I hope they put them on broadcast tv as well.

There's a PETA-lovin' vegan in the next cubicle to me. I look forward to asking her about her support of terrorism when the moment is right.
