Ordered this morning a Christmas present for moi, the FReeper personalized mug. Now FReeping while sipping the joe will be much more fun, and it will definately irritate any liberal neighbors who happen by.

Good Lord, NO!!! FR in an oval denotes France, does it not? Mon dieu.

Upon further research, the vehicle symbol for France is "F" (as in John F'ing Kerry) displayed in a white oval. From
European driving regulations: (UK page had the specs)
A UK registered vehicle has to display the appropriate national identification letters on the vehicle and any caravan or trailer you are towing. The approved pattern is oval with black letters on a white background and size (eg GB) at least 175mm by 115mm.
So for France: or Poland: , etc.
Even though FR is not in use as a country designator in the EU, I'd hate to have anything on my car that made people think I was a cheese-eating surrender monkey.

Non! Non! A thousand times NON!...

I still like the "FRPR" design:

My opinion is that FRPR is sufficiently
unfröglich that no one will throw cheese at my car. I would not have this confidence if it was just FR in an oval.
On the other hand, if what we really want is a Secret Handshake, I think a sticker that says "I'm series" would be more mysterious.

Our TWO mugs arrived via USPS yesterday! TigersEye and I want to say thank you to everyone involved with the project. We treasure our new mugs and Free Republic.
To: Nick Danger; Seeking the truth; diotima
FRPR is indeed
unfröglich [mega-smile]. Nick, I thought "I'm series" was the secret password, with a response of "hugh" to confirm. Maybe "I'm series, it's hugh" for the sticker? Some interesting connotations there ...
Gene, please feel free to put me on your design review committee!
The coffee tastes a little bit better this morning in my shiny new FreeRepublic mug. Both arrived safely to the east coast of Florida in 2 days based on the postmark. Thanks to all that made this possible. "Damn the Liberals! Full FReep Ahead!"

Like this?
Maybe we need a poll or contest or something?
