Iran has announced that it plans to retaliate against those countries which voted against Iran at International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) board of governers meeting. These nations include Australia, Canada, Japan, New Zealand, South Korea and United States of America.
IAEA's new resolution passed on Wednesday criticizes Iran for what it calls are 'violations' but at the same time praises its new willingness to cooperate. However, IAEA attached harshly worded warnings for any 'further violations.' Similar warnings were given to Iraq just before American led attack on Iraq.
"This resolution is a success for Iran and proving the sincerity of the countrys claims on peaceful use of nuclear energy and not pursuing production of weapons of mass destruction," Hamid Reza Assefi, spokesperson for Foreign Ministry said.
Iran praised Malaysia, Russia and South Africa for their pro-Iran stance at the IAEA.
Iran has already committed itself for full cooperation with IAEA over nuclear inspections and temporarily suspending uranium enrichment until clarification of issue.
After open committments by Iran, it is not clear why IAEA felt the need to pass a resolution with harsh warnings.

These nations include Australia, Canada, Japan, New Zealand, South Korea and United States of America. Ok, let's threaten world powers (whose armed foreces are on our borders and who chew up fascist dictators) with unspecified, but thinly veiled threats (like nuclear attack or terrorism). Yeah, that sounds like a *GREAT* idea.
Iran praised Malaysia, Russia and South Africa for their pro-Iran stance at the IAEA.
Well, let's see:
Malaysia: Islamic ally who called for the destruction of Isreal.
Russia: Major, nuclear equiped, arms dealer hurting for cash with no desire to see the USA knock off its customers.
South Africa: Another arms dealer supplying both conventional and non-conventional weapon systems and also an up-and-comming research powerhouse in the world of military research.
The best thing that could happen to Iran is a civil war and the expulsion of the old fascist regime and the re-introduction of a representative republic.

"Iran praised Malaysia, Russia and South Africa for their pro-Iran stance at the IAEA."Ah, so THAT'S why Howie Dean insisted we need the Soviet Union to pressure Iran into compliance with non proliferation! And why he wants us to get out of Iraq and stop threatening Iran...err...do something in Iran. Howie doesn't know exactly WHAT yet, but feels the Soviet Union should play an inmportant part. Well versed in foreign policy, that guy.

..Iran most likely received a large quantity of Saddam's WMDs.It is also probable that Saddam and Osama are both in Iran and /or getting physical-financial aid from them.
With wobbly freedom in Afghanistan to the one side and Iraq on the other, its a safe bet the mullahs and ayatollahs are sucking down lots of Pepto.
The Political Left are screaming for "Multilateral "cooperation and blasting Dubya as a "lone cowboy".How will they spin this I wonder?
...Also let me ask this...If a planned coordinated attack is launched against the U.S. Heartland-especialy civilian targets, it seems to me that most Americans would re-join the war on Terror with a vengeance. The Terrorists seem to be trying to divide the coalition nations, demoralize them and get them to drop out one by one.
If an attack is launched against America proper that would defeat their aims. It seems that as long as the Terrorists attack targets out side the US the Democrats will be in good shape to keep kicking Bush. The Terrorists would prefer a Dem in the White House. If a Dean or Kerry is elected then the US will fold up its War on Terror and retreat. All other Nations in the Coalition would do the same. North Korea would be emboldened. China would turn its gaze once more upon Taiwan. ..Who knows what Al Qaeda is thinking or what they will do next, but it seems like a self inflicted head shot if they actually attack targets in the US. Bush would win reelection and Americans would demand Vengeance.
Am I predicting no attacks in the US? Hell No! But if Al Qaeda is looking at the big picture I would think the attacks would be outside the U.S. ,more likely in Europe, where politically they could split the allies and win "Useful Idiot" support from the American Left....Tis a toss of the dice....

Thank You.
I can only hope it happens sooner rather than later. Less students and innocent people oppressed by the Iranian gov't will die if the change is sooner.
