Jay Helvey completely unfit--Experience like Ed Powell is necessary!

Jay Helvey has been discovered to be a Democrat in Republican's clothing. Ed Powell's condemnation of Mr. Helvey was right on in that it showed Helvey to be someone vastly different from how he is portraying himself. Someone like Ed Powell, with proven political leadership, should be the one to look over the interests of an area that is in dire need of help.
In no way possible is Mr. Helvey qualified to serve as a Congressman--especially considering his past that is starting to surface. Mr. Helvey not only has the support of those who tried to defeat Sen. Dole, but also the $$$$ from New York bankers that have nothing to do with Northwest North Carolina. Jay Helvey is an upstart, well-funded, inexperienced candidate that seems to only have his so-called "tremendous business background" to run on. I ask this of those who support him--"How can you support someone whose main credentials as a business leader have been exposed to show bankruptcy and corruption?"

Member since Dec. 2, 2003. Ink still wet on the home page. Oh, and Ed Powell is not my choice, for what it's worth.

Yup - that's him. And I'm leaning that way, also... but it's early yet.

What I have read about him, I liked a lot.
Too bad I am saddled with FRANK BALLANCE as my Rep.
Before that, it was that giant among thinkers, Eva Clayton.

I like Vernon. He is a strong, rightwing conservative who means what he says, and says what he means. It's funny that b/c I just joined up that somehow means that I am a political novice??? I have no clue who Troll is. If not Helvey, then who for you Johnny Z??

So far:
blue-chip: semi reasonable, attacked Jay Helvey, only posted on 5th district threads
ethicsandpolitics: hyperpsycho, posted and reposted half a dozen articles attacking Vernon Robinson and Jay Helvey in his one day on FR until banned
trueconservative17: First day, first post, only posting on Jay Helvey threads, attacking Helvey, trying hard not to say anything ban-worthy
Jay Helvey is a REALLY popular guy, apparently. What a coincidence that three new posters would come to FR driven to trash his candidacy and nothing but.

Johnny Z,
Appreciate your analyis...very noteworthy. I was merely responding to your uninformed comments commending Helvey. You are easily the most reasonable poster on a discussion board that I've ever seen. Attacking?...nope, just stating facts.
