"What the press didn't tell you is that apparently there were very few uniformed personnel that wanted to dine with Hillary in Afghanistan and they had to go recruit people."
I have no doubt this is true. Whenever an individual in the military wins something (award, medal, decoration, etc) that the "troops" feel is unjustified, they don't go to the ceremony; when no one shows up, the senior leadership starts "ordering" people to attend the ceremony so is doesn't look like a sham. IMHO, very few showed up to dine with that bus.

WOW, this was almost personal. Absolutely bizarre that she should even be on TV.

What the press didn't tell you is that apparently there were very few uniformed personnel that wanted to dine with Hillary in Afghanistan and they had to go recruit people.I enjoyed the images of President Bush serving the troops their turkey and dressing. Of course the only pictures of Hillary! were those of her stuffing her face. She was the turkey!

What the press didn't tell you is that apparently there were very few uniformed personnel that wanted to dine with Hillary in Afghanistan and they had to go recruit people.I want to hear more about this. LOTS more. I've heard references to it, but nothing definitive. Anyone have the facts?

That is obvious from the photos. The recruits are as unhappy a looking bunch as I've ever seen. The pictures remind me of all those stiff, stern faced people standing behind a communist, tin-horn dictator, like Kim Jong-Il, pose for a photo-op. Contrast them with the jubilant faces and cordial demeanor of the troops surroundinig President Bush.

This was such a fascinating piece. I normally listen with it in the background but had to stop everything and turn this up. I thought about his comments, especially the idea of promoting Clinton while denouncing Bush. Yet another quagmire into which they have incarcerated themselves with their futile attempts to distort Bush's sincerity as America's best friend.

I got an email from soldier stationed in Iraq and the troops are furious that Hillary Clinton told them that their mission was probably doomed to fail, that the policies of their Commander in Chief is not supported by many Americans( the policies they are risking their lives to enforce) and that only the UN can do the job in Iraq. Their sentiments remind me of those souvenir t shirts-" I spent Thanksgiving in Iraq and all I got was a visit from that lousy Senator from New York."

Did she ever address the troops?
Or were her comments from the 'press' interviews.........where she sticks to a written script and no free questions are allowed?

She had to force troops to "attend".

Oh boy, we all have heard of mrs. clintoon's infamous temper.
I would love to see what was thrown when she found out that President Bush upstaged her.....big time!
GWB has been totally underestimated. He never ceases to amaze me.

Oh, that's a pair of evocative pictures!
You know, any one of the Nine - or is it now Ten Dwarves? - could have risen from the crowd in not just the liberals' eyes but the conservatives' as well by simply standing up and saying "that was a terrific gesture" and sitting down. No qualifications, no buts, no positioning, no posturing, just "hey, that was great." I know I keep talking about this, but just sitting there and trying to posture as anti-Bush makes you look stupid. Rush is correct - focus-grouping what color power tie you wear will get your lunch eaten by the guy in the flight suit.

Wow! What a rant! He nailed the RATS, the media and hillary all at once - while praising our good and honorable President. I love this one!
To: Tumbleweed_Connection
The only way for the nine dwarves to beat this is to have their next debate in one of Saddam's old palaces!! Make sure JenningsRatherBrokaw are there.
I guarantee that viewership will go up!

Bump to read to my husband when he gets back from a 10 day bambi hunting expedition. :-/ sigh.
