EXCELLENT! Too bad I'm not in Detroit anymore... Will they be broadcasting on-line?

I first heard Mark back in about 1980 or 81. I was pretty much a liberal/libertarian then and had even voted for Carter. At first, I couldn't stand the guy, but I kept listening and I have to say his message was one of the factors that brought me over from the dark side.

Mark Scott was a mainstay of Detroit Talk Radio, when we used to have Detroit talk radio. Some moron thought all sports would be a better format.
Mark is very strong on individual rights, limited government and gun control, specifically being the ability to hit your target.
You either love the guy or hate him, but he's always worth listening to.

Great talk show host. I've listened to him for many years, even when he was only broadcasting over the net
. My only problem is his atheism.

I agree. When he starts talking about his athiesm and blaming a bunch of stuff on religion, I usually turn him off. He didn't say much, but I think he got burned bad by somebody at some church in his past.

Good deal! I always enjoyed his show. IIRC, he did try a Web-only thing for a bit...must not have worked out very well. Here's a link:

I started listening to him when I leaned to the left some 15 years ago. He'd have these idiot Detroit liberals call to challenge him on a point, and he'd brutally shred them. I'd say he had a big part in me switching sides. I never heard anyone counter his points successfully.

I know he's a hardcore Ayn Rand junkie. She wasn't a huge fan of religion either.
To: AppyPappy
I think he once had Tipper Gore hang up on him. He was too tough an interviewer.

EXCELSIOOOOOOR!
Always liked Mark, even if he did fly off the charts. Gotta give props to anyone who can get discussion of Ayn rand on the air.
