Was listening this morning to WMAL (Washington DC). One of the features of the Morning News Show (Andy Parks and Fred Grandy) is "Washington Whispers" with US News & World Report's Paul Bedard. Bedard announced that, to the surprise of all, Tiny Tom is actually running for re-election.
Fred Grandy had the funniest comment of all, speaking how Daschle has a "soft spoken, almost feminine speaking voice." Andy Parks nearly fell to the floor laughing, and threatened to send a tape of the comment to Tiny Tom's office. Grandy followed up with an observation that despite his public demeanor, Daschle is "the most ruthless, slash & burn politician on Capitol Hill"

In other news, the metastable water molecule has been found to consistently contain 2 hydrogen atoms, 1 oxygen atom and very rarely anything else.

Is it fair to say that Thune is a Social Conservative but not a Fiscal Conservative? It seems he always voted for minimum wage increases, funding of both NEAs, opposed spending limits ... I'm not from SD and may have an incorrect opinion of the man.

"I don't know Fred Grandy, but I like him already." Sure, you do. He was on the original old "Love Boat" TV series, later elected to Incongruous and served a coupla terms. From Ohio, not Iowa.

From Iowa...I voted for him. He then challenged our sitting Republican Governor, Terry Branstad in the primaries and lost. Next I heard he was running goodwill industries. A good man. I think it was a new crowd, old crowd fight that made him leave politics. You would have to ask him.

Wow imagine that. Next think you know we will find out that Crack smokers intend on getting more crack and that heroin injectors intend on injecting heroin again.

"If it wasn't for a few pork minded (registered) Republican voters and a lot of shenanigan (vote fraud) on Indian reservations, he would have beat Johnson in 2002."
Dem vote totals were higher than registration numbers in reservation precincts. College students from Colorado were paid to take the bus trip to those areas to vote. Many admitted to voting more than once.
Absolutely disgraceful. And Thune let it pass!
