As a open-minded, fair and objective type (hee, hee), could you provide us with some of your documented dissent when the boy-perjurer sent troops to Europe then flew in for a photo op...or when the boy-user of women lined up troops so he could march with them 100 yards to the podium to declare "victory" in Haiti?
...oh, you didn't dissent then....war is good if a lying impeached democrat is sending troops to war.

LOL! I know. At least FR doesn't ban disrupters right out of the box as his frequent home, DU does.

"The meetings with [Iraqi administrator Paul] Bremer went fine, but we weren't finding a lot of takers on meeting with Clinton and [Rhode Island Democratic senator Jack] Reed," says an American staffer in Baghdad. "Maybe there weren't a lot of New Yorkers in the area."
Now it's time for the REST of the story......
an email went out to everyone for constituents from RI and NY. After there were very few, for whatever reason, the general call was put out about 30 minutes prior to lunch.
I'm no Hillary fan but that was an inaccurate characterization.
Except for the socialists, progressives and others of that ilk nobody really cared that she was there. It was a non-event.
The sum of her visit's impact was that she hogged some valuable lunch table space where I normally sit.

Her negative comments to the soldiers about "people are questioning Bush's policies" and saying success was not assured had us fuming...The thread has almost 1700 posts. How about Bush's visit? It was terrific from here.

When it's the Dems and the unions, I think "legal" is merely a nuance... kinda like how it's illegal for tax-exempt churches to hold political rallies, but every election season Dem politicans can be found sermonizing and bleating out gospel hits at the Inner City Baptist Choir.

I wish we could find out which troops had to sit through Hillary's visit and pitch in to get them all a special gift ("Thanks from Freepers for what you had to go through). I'd sure drop a C-note in that cause.

It's really too bad they didn't BOO her! I know they would not be allowed to do that, and it would be rude, but I would love it!

Bush's visit was a smash hit. I talked with some guys from the 82nd Airborne from up north and they were pumped up about it.
I think Hillary is stating the literal truth and omitting a very important nuance.
People (who are socialists) are questioning Bush's policies.
People (who want to sanity check Bush's policies) are questioning Bush's policies. I happen to generally agree with his policy towards Iraq.
She states it in a way that is perjorative as possible. I support the guy but I question his policies. I question everything and I think most of us do.
Success is like beauty.......
To: nerdwithamachinegun
I remember when a leaked memo of Rumsfield's caused a firestorm because he was essentially asking what can we do better. I would hate to think no one asks that question.
Hillary's and the Dem presidential candidates desire to internationalize(UN) this seems pretty laughable considering the UN track record. They aren't rushing to help. Al Jazeera and Arab News seemed to approve of Hillary's visit.
I get goosebumps over the welcome Bush received from the troops and know he loves and supports them. His statement about not being chased out by thugs and assassins was important.
I pray for success.I include all who work for that success in Iraq in my prayers.

UNionizing the effort here would be the kiss of death.
The UNion needs to stick to feeding kids and giving shots and stay out of the business of settling disputes.
Bush did the right thing and his foes hate him for it.
