As I was at my sisters, helping cook Thanksgiving dinner, (she has a tv in her kitchen, God love her) and it was announced on FoxNews that Pres. Bush was in Iraq. I let out one hell of a whoop! The first thing to came to mind was......"Hillary will crap her pants when she finds out!"
Our entire family was on cloud nine all day, with the exception of my daddy, who is a "Roosevelt Democrat". Out of respect for him, we kept our celebration rather low key.
However, during our annual "what we are thankful for" speeches before dinner, Mom said, "I'm thankful for our President who has shown so much courgage today in supporting our troops". Daddy just nodded his head.

From another article.......
Finally, Shock and Awe
Remember the "shock and awe" campaign in Baghdad that never materialized last March? CNN reports it finally arrived yesterday, when Bush emerged from behind the curtain:
The shocked and elated soldiers jumped to their feet, pumped their fists in the air, roared with delight, and grabbed their cameras to snap photographs. . . .
At the president's ranch in Crawford, Texas, where reporters had been told Bush would be having Thanksgiving dinner, the reaction among the press corps was shock and awe.
CNN's "ticker" yesterday kept mentioning that Bush was the first U.S. president ever to travel to Iraq--which is true, though Bill Clinton sent his wife.
