The New York Democrat has lately taken to accusing President Bush .....

New York Democrat? Carpetbagger from Arkansas. Every time I see her name assciated with NY it reminds me of what a fraud she is.

In all seriousness, it did not look like the troops were enyoying their turkey dinner. It seems like (from these pictures) they were as stiff as boards because some senator was there and they had to be on "formal" behavior. Relaxing and enjoying was NOT allowed.

Dinner with Hillary-could replace the Adkins diet...

Notice that there are as many photographers (shadows) as soldiers in that shot. My thought was the shadows are all of the soldiers who didn't want to be photographed next to her Heinousness...

That was 30 years ago, I still remember it every Thanksgiving.A similar occurance also happened to me. My commander, "Col. Story's", name is always included in my Thanksgiving table grace to this day.
You and I both know that what Bush did was very important.

laughing, cool observation.
I like the video shot which was made super tight to allow her to make her crocodile point and not look like a fool speaking to an empty lot.
Too bad somebody must have told her about GWBush's trip. (Geraldo) It would have been a bigger story to show her speaches based on her NOT knowing. She would have been exposed as a boob.

An African-American female G.I. seconded the Fox reporter's assessment, agreeing that the food was more of a morale booster than Mrs. Clinton. Another female soldier at the table concurred. What an odd paragraph. Of what relevance was the first soldier's ethnic background, and why wasn't the second woman's ethnicity considered important enough to mention?

But I think Vice President Dick Cheney might want to do a repeat of this on Christmas day,
to Kabul, Afghanistan for our valiant troops there, too.
I was thinking along the same lines, as the constant rap is that Cheney is just part
of a cabal that is just out to suck money from Iraq.
With his low-key manner, he could hit some homerun quips.
Heck, and I'm half-serious about that, he could go incognito for a Christmas ceremony
in a Santa suit, then reveal himself and give a "good going" speech.

I've wondered how Hillary ended up in Afghanistan on Thanksgiving instead of Iraq. When she asked DOD for permission to travel, did Don Rumsfeld know that Bush would be in Baghdad?

Bush should have called her, in front of all the cameras, to thank her for "her persistent, helpful criticism of the military action thus far" and patriotism, as well as her and Bill's 8 years of dedication to the military.
That would have totalled her.

She will never win. Look at the pictures, how proud were those soldiers standing with Our Commander and Chief, and how were they standing next to Hillary. It seem they had to, just to be polite. What is amazing about this is, no matter what, this President has courage and humility, and troops need it that. As for Afghanistan, I wish that Vice President would visit them same time, when Our President visited our troops in Iraq. However, it is understandable why this has not happened.
To: AZLiberty
She was afraid to go to Iraq, plus it might anger the base if she showed ANY support in Iraq.
To: longtermmemmory
I noticed that also. When you see the pictures of Bush most of the soldier's attention seem to be focused on him, with Hillary the attention seems to be fcoused on their plates.

What brought tears to my eyes about the President's secret trip was the trust it represented. The Warriors have been so trusted by the Leader that he placed his own life in their secure hands, all for the sake of honoring them! Nothing, no speach from the Oval office, no proclomation from on high, could ever mean more than this to a soldier!

That very feeling came over me, I wasn't there but chest was so swelled by the end of the article...
I met 41 (twice) both in much less hostile conditions (aboard Aircraft Carriers, when he was Vice President) the genuine feeling of mutual admiration and trust is something I will never forget.
