Boy, Thanksgiving sure was a bad day at DU.
A thread about Bush's visit to Iraq
Another thread about Bush's visit to Iraq
A thread about Toby Keith's Halftime Show
Just for reference, so we know what kind of people we're dealing with, a poll conducted on DU
I'm not sure if linking to DU threads is frowned upon or not, but these threads are too good to not share with my fellow Freepers. Comedy gold!
There is a site for looney lefty losers
A place where they commiserate and cry
It's kind of like their own insane asylum
We all know why
They think that Scumbag Clinton was a hero
Their heads they keep right up their you know where
They still count chads that they say they've discovered
They think we care
Underground
underground
it's the place they like to play
The RAT Underground
underground
it's there they hide away
Each one of them's a freak who is unbalanced
No medication works that they've yet found
You know it in your guts
that every RAT is nuts
They do not dare appear in public
they stay underground
Underground
underground
it's the place they like to play
The RAT Underground
underground
it's there they hide away
We do not think that they'll come to their senses
Without a brain it's hard to be profound
You know it in your guts
that every RAT is nuts
They do not dare appear in public
they stay underground
That is truly ironic considering their guy is the one who would finish himself off in the sink when he was with Monica, and who would play with himself late at night with her on the other end of an unsecure line. He will forever be the Sinkmaster.
They hide deep down in their Underground
and spend their whole day Bush hating
To them it's really an ugly day
Iraqis are celebrating
Today's the day they hoped wouldn't come
Defeated by a guy who's so dumb
Today's the day the Underground's suicidal
Some were hoping our troops would die
for Bush it would go quite badly
But as the statue came tumbling down
they sat at their keyboards sadly
Today's the day they hoped wouldn't come
Defeated by a guy who's so dumb
Today's the day the Underground's suicidal
It is really so wonderful
as a group they were spreading bull
They had lived in a dream, a dream, that someone was soon to impeach
They are worthless as they can be
they are scum for the world to see
We'll be feeding them crow, tasty crow
though they'd rather be having quiche
In denial they're really stuck
they do not know how much they suck
They are always so wrong, so wrong
a lesson George Bush would soon teach
They are worthless as they can be
they are scum for the world to see
We'll be feeding them crow, tasty crow
though they'd rather be having quiche
They're hoping Baghbad Bob has bad news
because they believed his prattle
They don't know it is two thousand three
they still fight the Florida battle
Today's the day they hoped wouldn't come
Defeated by a guy who's so dumb
Today's the day the Underground's suicidal
On their moustache is a curse
They're in a state of shock
I'll be very pleased to call a hearse
Their whole world view is screwed
It's been turned upside down, oh, can it be renewed?
What will they be doing next
it seems their hopes are dashed and they have lost everything
I guess Will Pitt will get on the cell phone and call up Scottie boy
And say "Let's meet at the Burger King"
On their moustache is a curse
They're in a state of shock
I'll be very pleased to call a hearse
Their whole world view is screwed
It's been turned upside down, oh, can it be renewed?
What will they be doing next
it seems their hopes are dashed and they have lost everything
I guess Will Pitt will get on the cell phone and call up Scottie boy
And say "Let's meet at the Burger King"
I just visited DU, and I second your estimation of their level of discourse, if it can be called discourse. Perhaps 'course' alone would be a better descriptive.
Two thoughts: It's a well-accepted fact that one's ability to write (and think!) cogently, fluently and presuasively is influenced by what one reads, more than any other factor. So what in the world have these lefty whiners been reading???
Secondly, their clunky, Yahoo-like bulletin board messages seem like 19th century technology campared to the FR format, which allows for a running dialog and can be viewed and read much like a newspaper. I love FR, but I probably wouldn't be a poster or frequent visitor if JR used that outmoded system. It's a laugh. I wonder why only FR, of all the blogs I've visited, has this attractive advantage.
