President Bush made a surprise visit to our troops in Iraq today, he arrived on Airforce One at Baghdad International Airport just after dark and surprised some 600 soldiers before being served a full course traditional Thanksgiving meal. President Bush was greeted with a thunderous applause from the surprised troops that clearly touched the Commander-in-Chief

I told him that his name would now appear on that list, with his permission. He almost choked up as he answered, "Yes, please". I couldn't help noticing that his wife's eyes had become very mistyGosh, I LOVE you Bush Bots and Bucks. You make me cry but you also make me proud that so many people are out there making a positive difference in the world. I usually get here too late to do more than lurk. Just had to tell you........and to say a big "thanks".

Prayers on their way! I can certainly understand why she doesn't want to go back to the hospital. She needs to visualize herself well and happy. --Play some beautiful music, and have her picture all the things she'd like to do that make her happy, out there, mobile, and feeling great.
I didn't know you were also in line for surgery, too, Ms. B. Well, start now by doing a bit of the same...picture yourself coming out of the hospital happy and healthy and SO much better -feeling on top of the world, and smiling -- looking forward to and seeing yourself doing things you couldn't before and smiling and laughing and all going well.
I can't stress seriously enough how much this works.
You add that to prayers and there's no stoppin' either of you.
God helps those that help themselves. It's a team effort.
We'll be here for you -- in the bleachers, with pom poms, cheering for you both!!!
Big hugs. I hope these pictures can get you started....

Thanks for the ping & post
about your trip to Walter Reed.

Hey Truthy..
God Bless you visiting our troops in the hospital, what a good and kind soul you are.
My surgery is on Dec 3rd, it WAS Dec 10th, but they moved it up a week, thank GOD!
It is knee arthroscopy to repair torn cartilage..it will be "day surgery", and will take 45 minutes from start to finish.
Just hate to be laid up around the holidays..hate them darned needles, too.
Please pray for Patriciaruth, she needs us right now
Thanks..
Ms.B

AF1 has 14 seats for reporters. 13 of them were filled by the time they left DC. The reporters were talking about the fact that only 6 were on the flight from TX to DC.
But what really frosted most of the media is that they take turns covering the Pres., providing "pool" coverage for all the media. Fox drew the "short straw" to cover Crawford on a nothing week-end (they all hate that).
Turned out to be the hottest coverage of the year. Too bad. :-)

Thanks so much for sharing your experiences at Walter Reed.
Glad to hear that Sgt. Santos is doing so well. Just sent him a card & handmade 'cross in my pocket'.
So sorry to hear of the very ill cancer patient.....he's so young and with young children....May God bless & comfort them all.

Got to your report late, but that didn't keep me from tearing up reading about Sgt. Santos and all the others you ministered to.
I'm glad that Sgt. Santos wants his name posted on the prayer list. It's a good reminder every day.
I wonder if we could post Spc Chad Baetke too as, from what Mike said, he will be having more extensive surgery on his face.

I'm so blessed by your post, Truth. You visited Walter Reed Army Hospital and gave of your heart. I have a feeling you were touched in a big way by the courage and resolve of our military. God puts us in places at just the right time, imo. How precious you were there to minister to others in their time of need. I'm in tears here...

um...I'm one of the more computer challenged freepers but I know how to save this thread to your FR page. :o)
Just below the 'keyword' section at the top of the thread page, there's the word: bookmark. click on that.
