[history]
I bring a message on behalf of America: We thank you for your service, we are proud of you and America stands solidly behind you," Bush told about 600 soldiers, who were stunned to see the president emerge from a side door inside a military mess hall at Baghdad International Airport.

Makwao- up-country Maui. My neighbors are cows horses goats- very rational creatures compared to DU.

Thank for the link.
Well, the bunch over there should be very happy about the FCC ruling allowing the F-Word on national TV.
While read their posts I felt as if they invented the word for their own private use.
Inclosing, I have been in the enemies camp and the enemy is pure evil.

The DUmmies are freakin out. I love it. GW comes through again! I hope the news of the President in Baghdad drowns out the news about Old Crusty in Afghanistan...

Did they mention on DU how much it cost for the Hildabeast to fly over there? Now that shouldn't be a concern to anybody for it's the duty of a Senator to take care of foreign affairs and to be a leader to our troops when overseas. It's the job of the CIC to delegate and stay at home, Right? /sarcasm

your comment : just when I think I can't admire this man more...he totally pushes the envelope on nobility.
I am thankful that he is our president
I know how you feel...:-)

A few said they cancelled holiday plans because they couldn't stand their families talking about this. Others are physically ill. It was worth it, then.

Don't say that! The way the political winds are blowing, that could very well mean a wish for bad tidings to Dubya' voters in '04! : ) LOL

Wouldn't you hate to be the GI who was on patrol when the President came in, and ends up having to eat with Hillary?

Yes, but as the saying goes: Timing is everything. However, the President's visit to Iraq was not only for the 6oo or so, who were very fortunate to be at that Thanksgiving diner with W, but it was also for everybody in Iraq and Afghanistan, indeed for all the members of the USA Arm Forces. No doubt about it, President GWB loves his men in the Military. As for hillary it's very well known that she hates our men and women in uniform. She went to Afghanistan
for only one purpose to get a photo oped for political advantage. I feel sorry for our GIs who are used this way, have to share a table with her and still risks their lives to defend America.
To: Jeff Chandler
From DU: And how many hungry people could have been fed today with that money? Just asking.
About the same amount of people as it cost for Hitlerys trip to Afganistan.

AOL couldn't wait to headline Hitlary as "Guess who's coming to dinner?" with a photo of her stuffing her face and chatting with a lady soldier. I kept checking to see how long it would take them to replace it with Bush and it was literally hours before they did. Must have killed them for her to be upstaged. Can you just imagine how furious she is going in behind President Bush and his stealth appearance...God Bless America & our troops...they deserve the best and got it. There were some clips of her with Heraldo on all of the channels. He said the troops were pretty happy to have her but really excited about a Turkey Dinner...he was honest and it showed! She made some cutsie remark to him about being from NY and then said they would chat later...yea right. She's getting exactly what she deserves after all of that Bush-bashing party in Ohio. Wonder sho paid for her trip?
