President Bush secretly landed an hour ago and is currently eating Thanksgiving dinner at my undisclosed location. Anticipate a press release after he takes off.

What I CAN'T understand is why this is breaking news.I'm sure you NOW know why this is breaking news! LOL
Whooo-hooo! President Bush in Iraq with the Troops!

Loose lips sink ships. This saying wasn't invented for any reason. I would not condemn anyone who feels it this thread was over the line. Flaming them for it is not too cool.
I agree that I cannot see why releasing the information here would be a threat, but just because something doesn't have the appearance of danger, doesn't mean its not dangerous.
The need to know or rather "need to scoop" on this board is not necessary. This is a war, you know. A we should do our part, regardless of how trivial and insignificant it may appear.
I personally think our president being within mortar range of somewhere is significant enough for caution.

OMG... we're on our way to Thanksgiving dinner with all of our Democrat relatives... this is going to be fun! Full report please!!

I agree with your assessment. I hardly think the "cells monitoring FR 24/7" would have been bright enough to catch on until well after the President was on his way back home.
BTW, I thought Jay Leno was the only one who monitored us 24/7.
He picks up all of his best jokes here.

They sound so consistently like them, I'm not surprised. Thanks.

I would not condemn anyone who feels it this thread was over the line. Flaming them for it is not too cool. But it is ok to flame on the soldier who risks his life every day? And it is not ok to counter that? Did CK say that the President was in Baghdad? Gee, I didn't think so. Again, you people need to get a grip.

81% YES, 19% NO with 33,000+ total votes at 21:10 Eastern.
Sorry to disappoint you Wolf.
P.S. Please express my sympathies to Judy.

Amazing: The Senate Intelligence Committee can't keep a memo secret. The Dems can't keep a memo secret. The Bush Admin can keep a trip to downtown Bagdad by the President an almost complete secret. lol

You belong to a family of canibals?
That's really got to hurt.

NOT EVERYONE THRILLED, SAYS HOWARD KURTZ FRIDAY:I saw something similar to this in another thread earlier. The President's visit to Iraq really put the media in a bind. To wit, "How do we slam Bush for doing this without appearing to be a bunch of petty, vindictive jackasses?"
Looks like the old spin about "government hiding the truth is the real danger" spin is being selected as the tool of choice. While that maxim is true in many situations, making it apply to this is really a stretch.
This is going to backfire on the media big time. All they're doing is reinforcing the fact that as far as they're concerned, it's all about them. It takes an extreme level of navel gazing to be so removed from reality that you would think the public would actually buy into this line of BS the media is peddling.

New York Times must not have made the cut. I noticed that CNN didn't make it either. Must have something to do with the law of "sowing and reaping".

Didn't say it was ok to flame anyone. I said your actions were not cool. You seem to be the one slightly excited here. Please, get a grip. ;>
