Well ... I didn't have a Canada Ping List. I just went to the Freeper Profiles Page (Canada) and do now. For those I'm pinging now, let me know via Freep mail if you want off.
For all others, let me know if you want ON ...
Thanks, and good luck Free Dominion ! ...

Thanks for pinging your list- the folks at Free Dominion, sysops and members, are good people.
They are making a good effort towards educating Canadians in general, and promoting conservatism up there.

Thanks for the encouragement. So little feedback on this thread.

Thinking outloud: Where is everybody ?? ...I don't know what happened, or how threads are listed, but this one just showed up on my radar screen.
I've been a lurker at FD for quite awhile. My donation is heading their way . . . after I check their website to make sure it's not too late.

I used to think FD had a lot of stones trolling over at SR.com, but now I see this thread and am blown away.
I'd say the count has started...3, 2, 1....

Thinking outloud: Where is everybody ?? ... I just saw it two minutes ago. It looks like they gathered the cash to keep going for this month.

I just saw this thread and realize that it's more than 24 hours after your post.
The FD web site is still up. Does this mean that they survived the immediate crisis?
Can U.S. citizens living in the U.S. contribute without violating any Canada laws or rules?
Although FR, DC Chapter, and Republicans are understandably somewhat higher priorities for my contributions, I'll see what I can do.

Thanks.
Good to know that they made it this month.
On the chance that you might know, do our British cousins still have
http://www.freebritannia.co.uk/ or has that closed? Web site seems down right now.

I found this thru a Google search:
Posted by Stephen Lewis on October 10, 2003 Freebritania has sadly closed down. The British hosting company was difficult about hosting it. Because of the odd way in which the software was written, it could not simply be ported to a new webhost in the USA (where FB would have been afforded more protection by the Third Amendment).
The owner was working towards a relaunch, but in the meantime she was headhunted by the prestigous Digital Freedom Network in the USA where she is now a senior analyst.
For my part, I'm have transferred this board to http://www.sterlingtimes.com . The postings there are broadly conservative
I do hope that this helps.
Kind regards - Stephen

I was one of FD's "plank owners"-- number 358, or something like that. While I don't post there much, since they are a mostly Canadian board, I've always had cordial relations with both the owners and members over there.
They really are doing yoeman's work spreading conservatism to our friends in the Frozen North, and ought to be supported.

It appears that Free Dominion "got by with a little help from their FRiends..."

Update: We have received $207.23 USD in instant donations, and we have many more pledges coming in the mail.
You did it, FDers! Free Dominion is saved for this month and we have a good start on next month.
Many thanks to all who came through for Free Dominion!
A special thanks to Jim Robinson, owner of Free Republic, for sending us a donation at this critical time.
Our American friends have always been so good at lending their support to Canadian conservatism.
Free Dominion may have come close to being down, but we're not out yet.
If Jim Robinson thinks that keeping Free Dominion alive is a good idea, I say that we JOIN him in his support.

Free Dominion dot ca is in dire need! It may close! Can you ping people these threads with the fundraising info again. The Conservative family critc just got fired in Canada for making the apalling statement that there is a "gay agenda".
It was so shocking to the Canadian media that the poor MP almost got tarred and feathered.
Social Liberal philosophy has so absorbed Canadian conservatism that it is positively frightening.
Sure, I'll ping the FR Canada list again and also my General Interest list too this time ! ...
See links on post #13, folks ...
Please let me know if you want ON or OFF my Canada or General Interest ping list!. . .don't be shy.
