I don't see how this could prevent her from becoming a police officer?

"We were doing our jobs, and that's about all I can say. People don't understand the conditions out there. It is war. It is not back home where everybody is safe," Edmondson said. "Mistakes will be made. People are dying. Our soldiers are dying every day. But they seem to want to be nicer to the Iraqi POWs than our own people." A WWII heroine returning home with a demotion ...

Eventually...when the police forces are privatized...she would be a welcome addition to my company!

What a BS PC war. Let the Muslims kill us so as not to offend Muslims. Saddam/Osama laugh when they hear of our weakness. They know this is a fight to the death. Half of our trouble now is because we let the Iraqi soldiers walk home instead of killing them.

Sometimes as few as 100 MPs were guarding 8,000 prisoners, she said. I guess you would have to let them know who's boss. Frightening situation.

It sounds like an extremely frightening situation.
But when you consider the fact that there were so many Iraqi troops surrendering at once that they couldn't detain them fast enough.

I'll take it one step further. If our nation wasn't so PC we wouldn't be dealing with this right now.
40-50 years ago we would have just wiped these bastards from the face of the earth and let Allah sort em out.
It wouldn't have been a policital issue. It would have been an American issue and we'd of wiped every last bastard from the face of the earth if we had to.

American soldiers from left, Sgt. Shawna Edmondson, Master Sgt. Lisa Marie Girman, Spc. Timothy Canjar and Staff Sgt. Scott A. McKenzie walk at Camp Bucca, the POW camp near Umm Qasr in Iraq (news - web sites), Aug. 27, 2003, as they leave a military hearing. Girman, 35, Canjar, 21, and McKenzie, 38, three U.S. Army reservists from Pennsylvania, will be formally charged on Saturday, with abusing Iraqi prisoners of war, a U.S. Army spokesman said Friday, Nov. 14, 2003. Edmondson, 24, a fourth accused soldier from the same unit, accepted a less-than-honorable discharge rather than take her chances before a military court. (AP Photo/Rob Griffith, F ile)

Who was the CIA agent who was murdered during a prisoner revolt? Was it Spann? Didn't he leave behind a beautiful wife and two kids?
These prisoners would have killed our troops if they had the chance.

Fedayeen hold infants out of car windows as human shields while we court-martial our troops for "punching" and "kicking". I hate political correctness.

No book deals or love fests? Not yet. She would have to criticize and blame President Bush, VP Cheney, or SoD Rumsfeld in an interview with Katie Couric and her future would be assured.
To: af_vet_1981
Or Defend Saddam. That would be her a book deal and an interview.

This "bull dyke" should be made an example of. Once someone becomes a prisoner, their safety is the responsibility of the United States. I don't agree with taking revenge on an unarmed prisoner who can't defend himself.
