And, once one is in control of the whole shebang, there is little motivation to shrink said shebang, is there...???

The democrat party has become so corrupt that it's going to take a few years of wandering in the wilderness for it to regain any sense of moral values. As long as the Clintons run it, it doesn't stand a chance.

Love Tony. Glory piece to write. Mental picture of that liberal newsweek woman Tony always makes a fool of on TV...she's screaming on reading this!

But it's the VOTERS that have the last word .. and the Republicans should never forget that, because we are watching them

Eventually even big media will come around, a very important aspect of power barely mentioned in this otherwise interesting article. The Rathers, Brokaws, Courics will have to pass from the scene before that can happen. But it will.

We aren't getting the RAT people for the right reasons.
Man, I don't see this as a good thing. I really don't want the RAT clientele. If we get 'em, we have to start pandering...

A classic case of confusing party labels with political philosophy and fundamental principles. The party whose name is 'Democratic' is certainly on the ropes, but the socialism of FDR's New Deal and LBJ's Great Society are alive and thriving like never before. So who's really wining here?

Wanna party?
Losing battles and the war, while we control the exec and leg branches, is not cause to celebrate.

Correction: "the political center of gravity GOP in Washington is shifting definitively to the GOP Left."

The Texas Democrat party is a fine example of ehat is going to happen to the democrats in Washington. GWB has done the same in Washington as he did in Texas. He has exploited their weaknesses and has laid the groundwork for a big shift in the political spectrum. No matter how he has done it, the fact is, he has destroyed the democrats since he became the President. If he wins big next year, it could lead to bigger majority in both houses and therefore make it easier for passing more conservative legislation.

Yep, the power has changed. We'll now get screwed, but with more compassion, by the GOP instead of the Rats. Funny article from a conservative, in that it makes note of the power shift, but not all the taxpayers money being spent.

Kattracks, some of the Washington Times stuff is really good. Why not post it where more freepers are awake? Seems that we get the junk during "prime time" and the gems in the middle of the night. Well, let me know. Thanks.
