A word to the wise for Thanksgiving:
I'm sending a rather graphic picture of an overdose, not for shock value, but in the hopes that you folks will think about knowing your limits and when to just walk away.
When you view this picture, remember: this didn't have to happen!!

I heard an ad from my favorite grocery in town, who felt the need to tell everyone that although they sell lots of food cheap, it doesn't mean you have to eat it all at one time. This ad was not a joke, it was serious.

We all have much to be thankful for this holiday, each in our own way. And though I've seen a lot of personal loss this year, God has been very kind to me and mine and I have much to be thankful for in so many ways.
We live in a great time in the midst of great events in the greatest nation on Earth. The gratitude I'll have this Thanksgiving will go well beyond the bounty at the table.
