Man I think Michael is one weird dude, but this guilty until proven innocent track, which is all over the media as well, is more distasteful than 100 ecentric Michaels.

So you have already convicted him ... Michael is an eccentric, that is for certain, but then so was Howard Hughes and a few others. This whole thing smells of a vendictive sherriff and a gready public.
There will be more real cases, many more. He will cop plea or try insanity (diminished capacity) defense; the "I just couldn't help myself... I just couldn't stop" defense.

A few errors in your post:
Tying this to "vindcitive sheriff and greedy public" is to avoid the facts. Michael has admitted in a nationally broadcast television program that he sleeps with young boys. He has settled a prior case for $18,000,000 rather than see it go to court. He settled other litigation by a former employee rather than allow him to bring his case to court.
If the "vindictive sheriff" logic is to prevail, then any protection accorded to minors from the assualts of child molesters is only because of "vindictive" law enforcement.
Innocent until proven guilty is a legal right, and responsibility, not a matter of fact. It does not mean that Michael did not do this until it's proven in court. It means that the State cannot impose legal penalties until he is proven guilty in court, and then, upon conviction, it can impose such penalites, with no right of the convicted to avoid them due to station in life, nobility, etc.
It's what is called "legal fiction;" a non-reality accepted by the legal system to protect a right.
Each and every person has the right to evaluate the evidence and decide our perception of the guilt of another, with no need for a court conviction. We just don't have the right to access penalties, such as jail time, etc. P.S. Hitler was never convicted by a court. Was he innocent?
If this is all some "setup" by a "vindictive sheriff," then it's a shame their were no "vindictive sheriffs" around when the predatory priests were running amuck in Boston.
