May God have mercy on his soul.
Sadly, this isn't the end of this saga. Thanks to the same Leftists who won't raise a finger to stop the execution of an innocent disabled woman (Terri Schiavo), this judgment will be appealed and re-appealed for the next 15 years at least.
Thanks to the Left, John Muhammad and every other cold-blooded murder stands a better chance of dying of old age in prison than meeting his end by lethal injection.
And the Left wonders where they get their bad reputation. The appeals following this ruling will serve as a microcosm on how they earned the distinction of being seen as a criminals- and terrorists-first political movement.

The 1st questioner does--the question was along the lines of why does VA convict & execute so fast.
They didn't seem to have the same concerns for Tim McVey. Of course, he was white and considered 'conservative'.

FoxNews is more interested in hearing their own pundit mouthing than listening to the prosecutor. MSNBC is staying with the news conference.

I just heard he couldn't plead insanity because he would not allow himself to be examined by the state psychiatrist. He couldn't then shift gears and say poor me,I was nuts.

Willie Horton was sentenced to DEATH.
In their wisdom the USSC declared the death penalty unconstitutional.
The Horton sentence was commuted to LIFE IN PRISON WITHOUT PAROLE
In his wisdom, Michael Dukaka decided this man deserved weekend passes to freedom.

Just checked the cnn site and they're saying, jury recommends death penalty but judge has final say. Any ideas on when/how the judge will rule?

McVeigh dropped his own appeals. He didn't have the option of any state appeals because of his federal conviction.
And I don't have one ounce of sympathy for McVeigh.

Formal sentencing set for February 12, 2004.
MSNBC speculates that may be to allow other jurisdictions time to decide whether they want to try Muhammad as well.

The death penalty bothers me because people like Mohammud and Tim McVeigh have "secrets" and we may never know if either has any terrorist connection.
These dudes didn't really expect to live through this, dontcha think?

He is a Muslim, right???
Does that mean when he gets to where he is going, he will have 72 "hoes and bitches" awaiting him?

McVeigh made his own decision to drop appeals.I was happy.Muhammad has about 7 years of appeals, they say,and someone asks why execute so quickly..idiots.
I am always torn by teenagers and the death penalty. The attitude by Malvo, his thrill of the kill, lessens my angst.

As he was with Calypso Louie's Nation of Islan, he is doing various permutations of the number 19.

McVeigh would NEVER have told.He loved the fact he had control of his information.
