(Thread 10 - November 24-30)
Link back to thread 9 (Nov. 19-23)
.
Contained in Thread 9:
Carla Iyers testimony, Terri's 1990 physical exam and treatment plan, contact information for Judges Demers, Greer and Baird, judicial misconduct and how to report it, address to send cards for Terri's birthday, contact information for Bernie McCabe, link to friend of the court brief filed on behalf of Florida legislature, police report following Terri's collapse and Michael Schiavo: Profile of a Sociopath.
.
Click on pic for Terri's website
.
This thread serves as a place for posting all new general information and references, along with links following Terri's case, plus information on cable news and talk radio shows dealing with the issue, court cases and press releases. This is also the place to post contact information, prayers and general discussion.
If you have something that qualifies as BREAKING NEWS or FRONT PAGE NEWS, please post it on a separate thread in that category in order to give it maximum exposure and then post a link to the article/thread here so that it will be included in the next update of links. Also, if you post links to articles from original sources and there is also a thread on FR, please link to the FR thread. Many original links become corrupt over time and we want to be able to access the information at will.
This thread will stay up through next Sunday. I will be in Kentucky for Thanksgiving, but I will still be able to check in with y'all, just not as often.
A reminder: please do not post personal information on the public forum. We have lots of folks on scene down in Florida and we don't want them having any problems with the death squad.

I feel the pessimism as well. However, to those who are dealing with him, they are happy with what he has done thus far. I can't say, as I do not have the contact with him. Just hope they are right.
As for the judges, well, they are all corrupt up there, and they need a reality check ASAP. If they continue to pursue this along the same lines it had been going, revolution you will see. That's a given.

Good evening pc93 and Juan. I just got home from a emergency. My brother in law had a serious heart attack today with emergency surgery, so I am just catching up on the Terri threads. I actually was the one that suggested the helium balloons for Terri. I have never heard of any ecological hazards from them and so was surprised to read this. I would say that each person must decide then how he will respond. Balloons have been a part of our life for years. We have raised many foster children, birthday parties, etc, and never really gave much thought to the Dolphins. I am not flaming you at all, so don't think this is a attack, I am just saying each one will have to make that decision. I won't press it any more here on FreeRepublic. Thank you for sharing this pc93.BTW are there post # that you can refer me back to on this subject today?

Have a good time in Kentucky and have a safe trip there and back.

It was a personal e-mail. I just thought I would share. I haven't studied the ramifications of it. I've heard of Dolphins (getting caught in fish nets from the boats, etc.) and other animals eating stuff. I haven't heard of baloons. I would have to do a search on it. I just thought I would share the e-mail because it made me think about it.

Pollywog, I love your idea for launching helium balloons for Terri's Birthday!
However we celebrate it, the main thing is to do something special for her, whether public or private.

Well I'm in contact with a very nice older lady and I was going through my e-mails from around the time of Terri's bill, etc. and so I shot off a reply to her about how everything was and she wrote me about the baloons and I didn't even say anything about it so I was kinda funning around and here is the last interaction:
Juan They'd never trade one life for another!! Seriously. There are other ways to get people's attention. Good attention.
If an animal dies over this; the media would have a banner day!
Instead get the media to cover the story of how Terri's 'people' gave the balloon money to help others survive a bleak holiday . . . win them over with compassion for others . . . not a disregard for other's (animals) lives.
Thanks for taking it off of your site. I just visited your site. It has alot of information I'll read! One post says Terri can have cards and gifts. I was told she can't have anything!
I did send a prayer to Lisa I wrote for Terri. Hope she took it.
I wanted Terri to know that she's an example for hundreds of thousands around the world and we've taken up her banner and won't let her down. If people know they're an example for others, they're stronger for it.
I wanted to send her a Teddy and cards when I first heard about her. Her soul-light just beams through . . . lighting the way for many of us to follow.
I am so blessed to be part of this fight,

Great response letter. I don't think it's right for anyone to try to hijack Terri's right to life by smearing other groups who support her...love him or hate him, Randall Terry helped Terri, and I resent the implication that if one doesbn't support Randall Terry, then Terri Schiavo should somehow be put to death/held hostage out of a petty sense of tit-for-tat. We are talking about a woman's LIFE here...not politics or religious affiliation...me thinks the author is simply trying the old divide and conquer rountine.
Also I have a request...does anyone have the transcript or taped broadcast of the TigerClub discussion with Diane Coleman of Not Dead Yet and Felos?
I would very much like to review the contents of the radio show, if possible. Diane's comments were excellent and were transcribed here, but I am curious about some of Felos' comments.

I just want to post Pat Anderson's response to Miner's 'article' from the inthesetimes.com site (*way to go, PAT!*)
"In the GUISE of opposition to euthanasia"?? I assure you, the Schindler family and I are united in our oppostion to Terri's euthanasia. We all believe the selective killing of disabled people such as Terri is nothing less than euthanasia, and there is no "guise" to it. A coalition of more than a dozen disability rights groups agrees with us, too.
The use of the word "guise" in this article is offensive and insulting. A better use of the word might be "in the guise of objective reporting, Ms Miner showed up for work."

Nuther response:
How about renting a billboard???!!!
Up here they used to have messages from God on the billboards.
God could say; thou shalt not kill by hydration and
starvation;-)))))))))))))
Wish I'd thought of this when the man wouldn't rent the plane to us to fly
a banner for Terri behind . . .
How about that?

I'm getting an invalid type of error on the guardianship one, but the Schindler letter to Michael shows that the Schindlers had absolutely no money motive. They are distressed about Terri's condition back in 93 and Michael kept the medical and neurological info away from them. Mr. Schindler tries so hard to get through to Michael. He is earnestly trying to get Michael to communicate with them. Had Michael not been such a pompous @ss, this case would never have gotten to this point. Michael is a number one jerk in my book!
