The Patriots' Rally - Cleveland went off without a hitch, but we still don't know where Badray from Pittsburgh is. *VBG* If he turned down the wrong street I guess we will find out when we read the Police Blotter.
We had 11 brave souls who were prepared to face the brisk November winds off Lake Erie that wound up getting sunburned instead. An absolutely perfect day, and we got a great reception from the fans except for one or two tailgaters who got there at approx. 7AM and were pretty well gone before they started walking to the game.
I want to recognize the FReepers in attendance: smokeyb from Pittsburgh, it was great that you came, her sister Shoreratte, from out somewhere in the Firelands west of Cleveland, Boxerblues - our Freeper Double Blue Star Mom, and DollyCali and of course the Patriot Dog Oliver.
We had about 20,000 people pass in front of us, and many gave us thanks for recognizing our men and women in uniform, and for supporting our President and great country.
It was great, and maybe we should make this a yearly Freeper event in Cleveland.

Game is starting, time to break for home.
I appreciate the work that everyone put into this, we got the name of Free Republic out into the community, and we had a good time.
Thank you everyone.
Tailgating huh? Well, looks like lots of people stading around talking(FReepers in middle w/flags) and some people making LOTS of noise.
Here are some nearby tailgaters having fun!
Oh, My, Yes, Yes, Yes.. MEAT (Oliver is owned by a boring vegetarian.. he ate more meat at the rally than he has the entire two years we have been together)
Here he is working on conspiratoristo's Brat - think he zeroed out on this one...
Well, let's see what guest Bill will give me.. hmm. got a few bits of Brat & bun..
Paydirt! Here he sweet "talks" a nice tailgater out of a triple cheeseburger !!
But another side benefit are all the hugs.. here BoxerBlues gives me some TLC & top quality lovin'"
Oh, OH.. here comes trouble. What they Hey is this? Tail-a-gator? whooffffffffff !
Looks like something is going on... ah, ha.. this is why we are here. to carry signs & have people give up thumbs up & clap.. looking good - wonder if they will give me more food?
Here are Nancy & Bill.. two Pubbies, guests who joined us
now, why are we REALLY here. I had to reflect as I walked around & saw so many folks (and esp so many young men) enjoying this beautiful day. Chatting, tossing footballs, with their friends & families... and my thoughts were of the many young men & women now on foreign soil.. and yes, several of them who lost their lifes over the past 24 hours.
We live in a great country. Many have different ideas on how to do the right thing. We as FReepers have our idea.. and we were showing our support for the current "game plan" , our country/military, and our president.
Here are a few shots of the men, who could be in Iraq..not tailgating...
Well... I included these last pix so you could get a feeling for the tailgating as well as the image of the many young people the age of our troops in Iraq. Oliver & I had a good day.. missed a few of the MIA's who didn't make it to the Muni Lot for various reasons. Closing w/Oliver & I dancing at one of the tailgate places when one of the men wanted to know if Oliver did "tricks".. I told them he danced w/me.
(Conspir.. please ping the others on "your list")
However, I would like everyone to know that we wouldn't have them at all if it wasn't for doughtyone and his poster site: Home on the Range
Thank you doughtyone, and keep up the good work.

Wake up Badray ! You are just driving around Heinz Field !!!!!!
This goes for BOTH teams that played ! (Remember, I came up from Pittsburgh !!)
Thanks conspiratoristo for organizing !!!
It takes a lot to give up a Sunday morning, church, family time to get the word out.
Especially when viewing some of the mentally prepubescent football "fans" that have been drinking since 6:30-7:00 in the morning.
Smokeyb, I admired your restraint when you were accosted by the one obviously over-indulged Brownie fan who was castigating you for having an American flag rather than a Brown's flag. I was thinking that I knew a very good place for that eight foot flag pole.
Boxerblues: how is it that the diabetic got to take the box of donuts home? My family thanks you though. You provided the Sunday evening snack for the carbohydrate based life forms that are with us for the rest of the Thanksgiving week.
Once again, thank you all for your help and participation.
When are we going to be invited to a Pittsburgh based event?

My thoughts too but I wouldn't have soiled anything holding the flag. Besides, they might have enjoyed it !!
This should be Badray's punishment for being AWOL !
I wonder if they will rename it Del Monte field now that Heinz is gone?
What I meant was that you should be the one to organize the rally in Pittsburgh. So what day is it ? There is only 3 more Steeler home games this year (you know there are no playoff games !)
