Jackson's explicit letters seized (child's name redacted for FR)
The Daily Telegraph ^ | November 24th, 2003 | CAROLINE GRAHAM and SHARON CHURCHER

Posted on 11/23/2003 9:36:27 AM PST by Sabertooth

EXPLICIT letters and poems said to have been written by Michael Jackson to his alleged victim will form the centrepiece of the sex-abuse case against him.

Police seized at least a dozen letters during the raid on Jackson's Neverland ranch last week.

"The district attorney is convinced these letters will be crucial to the case against Jackson," a source close to the investigation said yesterday.

"The boy told investigators about letters and poems and their precise location inside Michael's home. These letters were among the evidence seized, along with videotapes.

"They are very explicit and intimate and show a degree of familiarity. Basically, they appear to be love letters from Michael to the boy."

The accuser, 12-year-old Los Angeles cancer victim ******, also told police Jackson's pet name for him was Rubba.

"The boy first told this to his therapist, then repeated it to police," the source said.

"He said Jackson called him Rubba because one of the games they used to play was called rubba rubba. The boy said, 'Michael told me he was my rubba rubba friend."'

Although police handling the case in Santa Barbara, California, have been barred from revealing any details, it is understood the alleged abuse took place in February.

Jackson is said to have befriended ****** -- who, during a controversial British documentary screened earlier this year, admitted having shared a bed with the singer -- over a long period.

A source close to 45-year-old Jackson said: "For the past five or six years, he's taken kids from fractured homes and nurtured them as a father figure. As they get older, he teaches them fun things to do.

"Michael says he learned this from an adult when he was a teenager. No-one on his staff ever said anything. He's a tyrant. Everybody obeys the man."

Another Jackson source said: "The boy told of everything that went on and described things in Michael's closets, his bathroom, what was under his bed."

In her statements to police, ******'s mother, #####, has revealed that Jackson encouraged her son to call him "Daddy".

##### has claimed she, ****** and his two siblings were held virtual prisoners at Neverland, 100km north of Santa Barbara.

When she learned of her son's accusations of molestation -- which included claims that Jackson plied him with wine and sleeping pills -- she fled with her family in the dead of night.

A source close to district attorney Tom Sneddon, who will prosecute the case, said: "The DA is very confident with the evidence he has. This includes letters, videos and computer files. They believe they have enough to nail Jackson."

Jackson's legal team is said to be encouraging him to consider a plea bargain, possibly an insanity defence that would allow him to serve time in a state mental hospital instead of jail.

There was speculation yesterday that the singer raised his $3 million bail with the help of Miami-based Al Malnik, a lawyer for notorious gangster Meyer Lansky, who died in 1983.

Malnik reportedly began making large loans to Jackson when his career nosedived.

Malnik, 69, was cited by the New Jersey Casino Control Commission in 1980 and 1992 as a person of unsuitable character.

The prosecution source said: "It just gets weirder and weirder. Michael supposedly has financial problems, but hiring someone with Mob connections is bizarre."

Prosecutors are said to be spreading a net around the world for other alleged victims. One boy of special interest is said to be in El Salvador, another in South Africa.

They are also said to be considering quizzing the son of an English premiership footballer.

Charges of aiding and abetting are likely to be filed against members of Jackson's entourage.

At the same time as the Neverland swoop, police raided two homes in Los Angeles.

One was reportedly the residence of Marc Schaffel, a gay video producer who filmed the rebuttal tape Jackson released just after Martin Bashir's British documentary aired.

You would think that everyone would be hoping that, wouldn't you? It amazes me how quickly everyone wants to believe the absolute worst is true regarding anyone in hollywood

Picture any man Michael Jackson's age that doesn't have himself made up to look androgynous and non-masculine, non-threatening.

These men may not be his age, but I'll just throw a few out here.

Mel Gibson, Russell Crowe, Lenny Kravitz, Bruce Willis, George Clooney, Denzel Washington.

Now picture any of these men going on TV and saying they have boys sleep over and it's an act of love to share their bed. Who'd go for it? Nobody.

Michael Jackson has used his surgery and image to appear non-masculine and non-threatening to make his predatory behavior with boys more acceptable to the general public.

I think he may be guilty but I don't condone prison rape. I wouldn't have any problem believing it if he plead insanity. Normally it would bug me for someone to just get sent to an institution for something so bad, but he really is mentally insane. I am willing to wait and see what comes out during trial though and could easily change my mind before the end of it all.

On one hand, he is an odd person and it wouldn't shock me if it were true. On the other hand, he sets himself up so easily for someone to try to get money out of him with false accusations. I certainly *hope* he didn't molest anyone. If he did, I hope they punish him appropriately. It sickens me though to see people condoning prison rape after they rail against homosexuals at any other time.

I could guarantee you that if any other left leaning hollywood star was accused of the same thing, even if they seemed like a perfectly normal person otherwise, you would see the same number of people here trying their best to believe it's true. So far this stuff is still rumors. The af_vet guy doesn't even want people having trials when they are accused of rape or murder.

I take it you would never be falsely accused of rape. And no one ever has. I'll tell you right now that is false.

Are you speaking about your personal experience ?

Men are falsely accused of rape. But to you, an accusation is enough for conviction. Damn the trial. We don't need no stinking due process!

The problem is not false accusations but actual rapes and enabling fans who support it.

The perps have too much due process as it is with lying, deceiving, parasitic lawyers who willingly put perps back on the street to make more victims.

Sorry, all out of sympathy for perps and their support infrastructure. It is on back order. Check back next week. The child molester perp who got out of prison and was found dead with his partner is first in line though. Someone asked for sympathy for them first.

Speaking of fans, how are your teams doing ?

Of course let's have a trial.

We're just online specuating. And my common sense tells me this ain't common.

Jackson's I'm-so-kooky-don't-expect-normal-from-me, image serves a purpose.

Since I'm not positive Kobe is guilty, that makes me a mind-numbed cult fan?
And if I'm not positive Kobe is guilty, then I must thinki Jacko is innocent?
You still see nothing wrong with your logic?

All your passion is poured into defending these perps. I don't regard you as neutral. Your bias is with the perps (and they are perps).

Al Capone was imprisoned for income tax evasion and lgoic suggests to me you might defend him as a white collar criminal falsely accused of rape and murder and targeted by the government for his ethnicity.

Whether or not Michael Jackson committed the crimes he's accused of, he's guilty of First Degree Creepy Weirdness.

You are lying. I certainly do want perps to have trials.

Fair trials and fast hangings

I would also like to understand why you appears on the perp threads siding with the perps. I find that curious. How did they gain your allegiance?

I haven't sided with MJ on this. I'm simply holding out for some actual facts instead of rumors before I say that I believe he is without a doubt guilty. And I am not lying about what you said. You said:

"Listening to both sides with perps who rape and murder is not "okay with me." The time for listening to both sides is over. It is time for a day of reckoning."

That sounds very much like you don't want a trial at all. I think Cuba has the speedy trials you are looking for.

Why so intent on bringing the Kobe argument over here? That has zero to do with this no matter how much you try to make them out to be the same.

I think he is saying he is no longer willing to listen to the "other side" ie that OJ's DNA was planted, that Bill Clinton did not have real sex and that Michael Jackson has a five year old child just trying to get out. It does get tiresome to hear apologists for criminals. It really does. And he does not by law have to listen to that or only make up his mind after a trial. He is not a juror and has no capacity to put these guys away. He is just saying what he thinks. Besides Michael Jackson is so obviously a predator that it seems that people who are not thinking he did anything or say lets all wait for the trial seem, well, terminally naive. I think it makes people feel morally superior to take that stance.

Serena Williams has actually complained about unflattering photographs. She actually happens to look good. You know women in the public eye get away with nothing, and I've seen people say the most nasty, unbelievable things about her. Serena is the one that tends to be on the nasty side. I think Venus is the nicer one. Unfortunately, the nastiness she probably picked up from dad who has always come across as a conceited, pompous a$$ to me.

Not MY personal experience, but a friend of mine.

The problem is not false accusations but actual rapes and enabling fans who support it.

You still don't get it do you? You actually think people who don't immediately convict an accused rapist in their mind would knowingly support a rapist? I guess you do. JUST BECAUSE YOU THINK HE IS A RAPIST DOESN'T MAKE HIM SO---unless you have a videotape---irrefutable evidence (NOT circumstancial)---in addition to your say-so. You know, something to back it up.

I do not have sympathy for those that willingly or carelessly hurt others. But I believe in due process. I know nothing about Kobe, but I haven't heard any reports of him coming off as a rapist. I'll wait for the trial to see all the evidence. But I know alot about Michael. And the more I learn the more I see a classic pedophile. The man had a chance to clean up his act ten years ago. He did not.

And well, Mavs beat Spurs 95-93 I was happy/sad! Mavs just won their last game, Spurs, too. But I wish there weren't so many games though! I'm better at catching them come playoffs. I'm a lazy fan.

I am sorry you had that experience with a "detective"...
detectives are not immune from being pedophiles... I just stated a fact, that when I was one, the kids MOST taken advantage of were from poor, underpriveledged families. I knew some pretty sick "cops" myself, and did not hesitate to bust the hell out of them, for ANY reason. It wasn't a cake walk either, being a woman, in the South, working in the "good ol'boy" network. I really had to PROVE their guilt, before I was respected and accepted as honest. I personally feel, any officer, gov't official, etc., in any position of authority, including teachers, should be hung for abusing their positions of trust. God Bless You.

What was in the thread that was pulled?

At whose request?

Also, I just watched the VH1 Breshair (sp) interview.

A very interesting tidbit is that the fan who ran in front of the car,and showed up later in the rope line, both in Berlin,Germany, was, I believe, the Elatab kid that was the supporter on Ritas show last night.Whose father is Said Elatab, who is a photographer .From Lebanon. They live in Clifton, New Jersey.

Any thoughts?

The article as it was published and as it was originally posted here contained the name of Jackson's teenaged accuser. This site seems not to want the name publicized.

I get it. You try to pretend they are not rapists so you don't have to look in the mirror and realize you publicly defended one.

You are not a juror. You don't get to decide the trial. OJ Simpson walked out a free man with blood on his hands.

Your support for Bill Clinton vs. Juanita Broaddrick is duly noted. He raped her. I say so. No videotape. No irrefutable evidence. Just her word against his.

Cajungirl expressed my sentiment.

I want you to look yourself in the mirror and honestly answer yourself as to why you are biased in favor of these two perps (Bryant/Jackson).

It wasn't easy getting the parents to cooperate with us in law enforcement. Embarrassment and guilt triumphed. Sad to say, if it were one of my children, the perp, whoever the hell he or she was, would never get a chance to do it again. Keep your eyes open always, and report ANY suspicion of misconduct. Harrass social worthless services and the local law enforcement. If we all help, maybe we can save a child.

Sex tourism is especially on the rise in countries in Central and South America. In Colombia, for example, there was a 500 percent increase in sexual exploitation of children between the ages of 8 and 13 between 1986 and 1993. In Nicaragua, approximately 92 percent of prostitutes are between the ages of 12 and 18. Although the number of child victims of prostitution is highest in Asia and Central and South America, there is not a country in the world that is immune to the problem.
